- In this episode of this series, we have Spoon Sports Catalog FK8 Honda Civic Type-R. We have one of the first few Spoon Sports carbon fiber front and rear bumpers. First we will be an overviews of the bumpers, then remove OEM bumpers and test fit Spoon Sports bumpers, follow by refinishing with a 3-step paint process and finishing off with the perfect installation.

Dam removing these new bumpers look like a lot of work. Old Honda's are so simple! My integra only needs a couple bolts and clips and its out.

Fantastic finish guys, Brian did an awesome job painting the bumpers I saw the video on his channel. Honda has come a long way in recent years, I remember back in the 70's and 80's Honda was a poor mans car and the quality and finish was awful but now they look top quality and first class style. Really? I've seen a lot of late 80's Honda's still on the road and the fit and finish seemed pretty good on them. I can't speak for the 70's ones. I know 90's ones are excellent too.

I never knew SPOON were making flexible draw stiffeners like STI 🤔 seems PROVA is also doing the same. There's seems to be a shift form JDM tuners with these chassis upgrades that don't just consist of stiffening but combines ridgidty and flexibility.

It's beautiful and I absolutely prefer the Spoon front end. While I prefer the look of the Spoon rear bumper, I wonder about rear-end lift at high speeds due to the lack of diffuser area compared to stock.

Looks so much better than stock, I personally hate the fake vents. However with the cost of the Spoon front and rear bumpers and the cost of labour involved for the install you are looking at spending over $10,000

You can attach the front plate to one of the front grill inserts
@@ahcgarage FYI. I JUST FOUND A site called evasive motorsports they have a tow device that bolts up behind underneath the fender right beside the fog light it has an extension for a toe ring and they offer a license plate set up with the same toe ring rod- Check it out !!!!!!! Very Sturdy

You know how sometimes you see cars with aftermarket bodykits/ bumper it always get stone chips easily? is it because the quality of the paint/ not enough layers or is it because of the material of the bumper because most of them are made of fiberglass
Most aftermarket body kits come with a poor adhesion primer coat, for this particular kit we made sure to sand off any primer that came with it and apply our own materials to ensure a chemical and physical bond to prevent rock chipping

They are the Spoon Motion Control Beam. Improves handling, comfort, reinforces the body and absorbs small vibration
