I have trouble, whenever I open wave it crashes instantly. I was never able to use brave and this is my first time doing so but I can’t since it’s crashing every time. I install and uninstall but nothing works

Yes but since Opera operates from China they are obligated to give all the information to the government, plus in it's privacy policy they state that they can do everything they want with your data. And as a side note Opera lies to their users about being located in Finland instead of China to make it seem more legit.

But for an out of the box secure experience, I'd recommend Brave. You look like one of those Opera stans. You know that it's a chinese spyware? You know you getting your mom's credit card leaked? Brave is the obvious best here, gives you actual privacy, simplicity, and customization options. Opera GX and Opera are under a shady group of companies that collects your information (search history, location, etc. and one of those companies being in China). And let’s be honest, chrome isn’t worth shit.

Chrome and opera gx with standard extentions like ublock, auto hd and so on just freeze my pc now. On a freshly installed windows. Tried firefox and it works x3 times faster than either of them. Its bizzare.

@@matrixsid972 Sure. Opera GX is a gaming browser by The Opera Company that has supposedly locates it's HQ in Norway. However, Opera is a parent company or works with a foreign Chinese company named Kunlun, which puts a lot of mistrust in Opera, since if the company is from China there is a high chance that the CCP having access to your data and thus, Opera GX and Opera are likely spyware and are not well trusted.
Here's a tip. If you care a lot about privacy, I suggest Brave or Firefox, and they don't use that much RAM in case your device is bad. If you want functionality, speed, and high customization, go ahead with Opera GX, but I highly suggest not to.
Another notice: If you are a gamer, Opera GX is fine unless you don't care about privacy and data security. If you want a fitted browser for work or school, go ahead with Brave or Firefox. Chrome is decent, but it's privacy is bad.

Opera was based in Norway and was bought by Kunlun Tech, a company based in China. Since Kunlun is based in China, they fall under the rules of the CCP (Chinese Communist Party), meaning they have to share any and all data collected from the user, which also includes such things as your city, zip code, and your *latitude and longitude coordinates.* The built-in VPN most likely does nothing and just acts as a proxy and leads your data to a Chinese server.
TLDR: Opera is based in China, don’t get it, it steals your data.
