Ok one thing I didn't mention in the intro is that Bond is actually great in solo queue especially if you are playing with Flashbangs, Flashlights and just any build that you can't heal yourself, having that info is really important and I actually think they should make Bond a base-kit perk for anyone queuing Solo!

I would rather run no mither instead of bond.
I use it to avoid running into a gen in progress while in chase. It's also very useful in in-doors map where the terror radius is constant. Knowing who is being chased and where they are allow me to know where the killer is. It also helps in finding where the rest of the team is for multiple reasons, like grouping to fix the final gen, healing, taking a protection hit for the survivor being tunneled etc.

Bond is a great perk! you can see teammates on gens, injured survivors to heal, someone to heal you if you're injured, where the action is if a teammate is being chased. The main build i use is bond, open handed, kindred and we'll make it.
Highly disagree about it being useless. Probably one of my favorite perks for a background player flashbang/flashlight build

@@BetterThanYouBroo The range for Emapthy is way larger, and you’re able to tell where the killer is when they hit a survivor. If anything, I would say that Empathy is more useful.
Bond doesn't require that they're injured and, to be fair, for flashlight/flashbang saves, you aren't getting it unless you're close enough anyway. So, I find that Bond is more useful for altruism that isn't taking hits or being a mobile healer.
Bond is a A tier perk calling it useless is crazy.

in solo q you get like 0 information when ur team and with bond you can speed up the process of finding for heals or to heal/repairs and easy flashlight saves usually
@@O02 Well making sure you know where not to run when you are being chased, setting up head on and flashlight saves, and saving time by learning a bit faster when someone is on a gen are just a few options.

Bond is one of the best, if not THE best informations perk in the game. I know when I can calmly work on a generator even if I hear the killer nearby because I can see the chase. I always find generators, exit gates, someone to heal, and I see when survivors work on a generator, so I know that I have to draw the killer away and not chase in that area. For a sabotage/flashlight survivor who uses Mettle of Man, it's the best perk to help my teammates. I could play without every other perk in the game, but not without Bond. Without it, I feel helpless, blind, and useless.

Bond is redundant for seeing chases, you can already see that in the UI. Exit gates get shown to you so again redundant, empathy is better for finding injured survivors and I can simply hear someone on a gen. Bond is admittedly good for finding someone to heal you or avoiding someone’s gen area, but putting bond over windows is laughable. Don’t care where my team is, I can get that info elsewhere. But I do not want to find out a pallet has been used when I need it MID chase.

@joselazo6840 It's incredibly useful for chases, you can see if they're nearby and you need to help or hide, or to see if they're bringing them towards you. Knowing someone is in chase and seeing them as their chased are very different.
Given the number of solo queue people who start creeping along the wall and refuse to do anything at 5 gens Bond is a god tier perk for finding those people and feeding them to the killer.

Another perk of bond. Your SWF with horrid callouts can't 'Accidentally' give you the killer on your gen in the middle of a dead zone. That coupled with a subpar headset in solo queue Bond gives great intel on where the killer is and which direction they're coming from.
Ik the beginning was just sarcasm about bond but i feel like bond is extremely underrated and should be used way more often than it is, it helps everyone on the team when you have amazing information on where the team is

First, all of these games were nuts. Second, you finally got build value in every game you recorded rather than just the last one 😂
Bond was really great when I 1st started playing. A free perk that let you know where your teammates are to get a heal and heal them, double a gen with Prove Thyself, let you know who's in chase, and see them drop pallets. The survivor HUD does some of this now but not as good. Now I always bring Open Handed with to make it much more useful when I do decide to run it.

yo the huntress in the first game straight up ignoring the person under hook n running past them to go for you and not tunnel even tho BT had run out is such a rare sight, actually huge respect to her, so rare that you see people play fair these days and not take the easy win via tunnelling

Bond is my crutch perk, i think its the best solo perk in the game, I cant live without it. Givea so much info on what other survivors are doing or not doing

I like bond allot, it can be used in multiple ways. Healing teammates/yourself, doubling up on gens, and seeing who’s in chase.
This build's basically "bodyguard your nearest mate" and I love it. For anyone who can loop really well you can actually guide the killer into evenly distributing hook states and that'll reduce the odds of an early kill.

I never thought I'd say this, but you have no idea what you're talking about saying Bond is useless. You don't need a build to use Bond, that perk is already helpful by itself.
Why
Bond is great for specific things. I currently use this for achievements Body Guard and Hiding Seeker so that I know better where the killer is since I see who is being chased and can run up to them immediately. It‘s helped me greatly!
I run bond open handed in solo queue, and it's a 10/10. Can see all 3 of your teammates not doing gens from anywhere.
Bond works for me to know where the killer is when he is chasing another survivor for more time to react to a save or get out of their way during the chase.
that last game had such good teamwork and was so intense for being a solo-queue game lol. Loved the vid keep it up as the best dbd content creator!

Bond is great. You can see people on gens to avoid bringing the killer there. You can see injured people to help. You can find people faster for heals. Constant use. It’s slept on.
With bond: U can find teammates to heal you, you where teammates are doing gens so u donead killer to them, you know where your teammates are being chased so you know wich zones will have less pallets you know if someone is going for unhook you can see wich god pallets were dropped and if you have good memory even random pallets and many more wich i forgot. Plus you don't need specific build for this. U can run bond all alone and it will still give you that value. I hope i convinced you and other players that read this commet that bond isn't useless
U can also find teammates for protection hits for sabo for pallet flashlight and flashbang saves

Excuse me?! Bond is my best teamwork perks that I still use for healing, repair and save my teammates with. So please don’t you ever call it useless( it’s only issue is the lack of range)

My standard survivor build is bond, open-handed, overcome and the 4th perk gets rotated quite a bit, for solo-queue basically being able to see your team mates anywhere on the map, which gens are being worked on its great, probably the best info perk to know where the killer is at all times as well.
Bond is also useful for knowing where a killer is chasing a player at. For solo q knowing where other people at keeps you safe, as long as you aren't the first person to pick up chase, you can also use it to get max value out of prove thyself.
Bond is amazing with prove thyself and shroud, hope someone tries this combo 🙌

I love bond for solo-q. You can see if someone in chase is close and where they are, for flashy saves, for heals and getting healed and finding gens. For me an really good perk.
As a player who's not very good at the game Bond is amazing for making sure I'm not running the killer past my teammates working gens, find peeps to heal me when im injured, and sometimes just finding gens

A lot of people are talking about saves with bond, but honestly I think the most practical benefit, is to avoid sandbagging gens and running into death hook teammates.
That Ace body blocking when you were exposed was insane.
Bond basically tells you where the killer is by seeing ppl getting chased near you so you can know if you need to bail or if you’re good to keep doing the gen.
Bond can give you so much useful information, the amount of times it has helped me is insane

I use bond all the time for solo. It's especially useful when you have a solo queue teammate who also has bond and is trying to run the killer to you. lol
Open handed/bond is so damn good. Pair it with kindred and some other perk and that’s my solo-queue comfort build
You can literally use it to not lead the K to your team mates, like… not even in the vicinity to where the K can hear the gens. You can also use it to find a heal. Before the hud was updated you could also use it to know if a a survivor is in chase. You can also use it to double a gen or find gens in general. You can also use it to not run the K to someone who is trying to heal. It’s just knowledge lol. No idea what you and JRM have against it.

With all the protection hits you were taking with this build, possibility of swapping self-preservation out for Mettle of Man. Self Preservation is an "Okay" perk but don't think you were getting too much value out of it. MoM would've made this a pretty fun build
I carry bond and it helps a lot with healing teammates. I have a gen rush build and having bond will let me see which teammates are on which gens, etc so I can go help.
bond is the best perk in the game. good for staying aware of where ppl are during chase, good for seeing when others are in chase to keep track of the killer and get on gens away from their chase etc

OMG that's amazing for my mettle, instead of waiting with empathy i can proactively lead the killer to an injured survivor and get mettle stacks, thank you so much Ayrun, i'll post back with my team mates responses.
ive heard people say urban evasion is useless but the amount of times ive prolonged a chase or juked the killer says otherwise. most if not all perks have a place to be used, the hardest part is find where that place is and trying to use it effectively.
Those teammates in all matches were incredible. MVP was that Ace tho.

bond open handed and kindred = killer will never find you because you always knows who killer is chasing and when they aren't and you can see them whenever they are near hook.
Im surprised you never try Overcome and Lucky Break. With the way that you can loop killers initially for so long without getting hit means you punish the killer so hard for hitting you because you can get away so quickly basically leaving them with a ton of wasted time.

As a new player bond really helped me out in being able to locate teammates for assistance or getting heals done.

Ngl in solo Q (and in casual games with friends) I'm a huge fan of bond with Open Handed and Windows!! Open Handed boots it's aura reading to be huge, and getting to just almost always know where your teammates are, especially in solo queue, is unironically really helpful!!! Open Handed also has the added benefit of working with anyone else running kindred or windows or such :>
What about combining this combo also with Mettle of the man? So you can continuously take hits for teammates and still use the rest for getting back quicker
So in summary in this video Ayrun:
- competed against a crow shooting Huntress
- removed a hatch from his head
- tried to pull of the most asocial solo queue build but ended up taking tons of hits for teammates 🤣

as a player who honestly always uses bond genuinely, i think it's a pretty good perk, especially for someone like me who is usually very altruistic, i find it pretty valuable. Especially cuz I don't always have a whole squad to play with each time i get on. :p thats just my opinion tho
