I love that you've used all of the products before reviewing them to us because I can see that some of them is really used up well and I like that. Btw thank you so much for doing the review 😊.
Problem with the increased popularity: pickpockets know exactly what to look for. Especially since Fjällräven products are so recognizable and are usually bought by people who are worthwhile targets. Some of the backpacks also have close to no anti theft measures. For city travelers I would recommend other bags.
Interesting take! The reason I bought a kanken is so I would blend in better. Yes, they're popular. Yes, everyone in Europe has one... which is precisely why I got it! I leave my travel bag locked up in a hostel, and put my lunch/jacket in the kanken as I run around town. They fold up very flat so it takes little space in my main bag
Little know tip my grandpa who was in world war 2 in europe use to use the some thin wire (almost like bread bag twist ties) to lock his messenger bags he would keep infomation about line work they were doing in his army messagneger bags so when we were growing up and we had to walk to school thru wonky neighborhoods he taught us the little secret of the twist ties using the bread twist ties to hold the zipper pieces together...cant pick picket cause the zipper piece is stuck but easy for you to untie...but nowadays who the heck wants strangers closer then 6 ft to you in the new covid society...if people were that close I'd be saying hey dude six ft covid personal bubble....step back....lol .
Hmm.. I didn’t know some of these products existed. My first Kanken was the Kanken Sling, and I love it.. but now I need a tiny bit more room so I recently purchased the Kanken Mini with the shoulder pads as well. Will definitely take a look at the passport wallet too. I’m actually looking for a replacement passport cover since my current one is from Wish and the elastic is losing its springiness. I adore Kanken products, so far they are the only ones who have stayed true to their promise of being durable.. I’ve had soo many bags in the past that were meant to be durable and they break or get worn out in less than a year 😑
I don't really like this brand that much but I appreciate the excellent review and info you shared here. It doesn't hurt seeing your smiling face throughout the video either, Rebekkah.
People with dual nationality sometimes have to carry both passports so this Fjällräven passport wallet is interesting! Is it waterproof just in case my bag falls off a boat so I won't need to go through the trouble of replacing two passports?
Hey riesemma - the Fjallraven Passport Wallet is water-resistant but not waterproof. You can also top the wallet up with Greenland Wax packhacker.com/travel-gear/fjallraven/greenland-wax/ to give it some added durability and weather-resistance. You can find out more info about this in our full written review packhacker.com/travel-gear/fjallraven/passport-wallet/ 😊 - Rebecca
Would you do even just a quick comparison of the 20L travel pack with the 35L? The latter seems too big, so it would be nice to know how big the smaller pack is and how much it can fit relative to its bigger version.
I really like my passport wallet but the really big downside is that it offers no RFID protection. It seems I am going to have to buy a Faraday dry bag for this bag in my backpack when I travel to Europe.
I feel like they don't pick up fluff if you keep them waxed. With mine, I touch the wax up regularly and if it gets dirty I just use a wet lint free cloth and it cleans easily.
People, dont forget these are made by people getting a fair wage in fair conditions and not chinese slaves. That alone is enough to buy over most other brands.
I like the Kanken but I think I’m too big of a guy for it. The straps fit but it sits high on my back and feels like I have an amazon box between my shoulder blades.
Love it! Would you please do the same for The North Face products? It'd be great for me and others who want to compare those brands. Thanks in advance!
Hey Achmad - we currently have no plans to create a roundup of The North Face products, but I'll pass your suggestion onto the team and we'll check it out. 😊 - Rebecca

Hey! The laptop compartment in the Fjallraven Kanken 13" Laptop Backpack was just too small to fit in a laptop with the Kanken Laptop Case on. 😊 packhacker.com/travel-gear/fjallraven/kanken-13-laptop-backpack/ - Rebecca
Hey ceruleanhills - we haven't reviewed the Re-Kanken, but from our initial usage, it doesn't seem to pick up as much fluff and dust as the G1000 fabric. 😊 - Rebecca
@@PackHacker Thank you very much for your response and for making this video!! I'm definitely going to take a look at that passport wallet, very handy as you said :)
They are indeed durable and good looking but man they are expensive. Making people that I know choose for a cheaper and less durable / environment friendly brand.
@@isviewer in my country where an average monthly salary is like $700 , this kanken is like 5 times the average cost of a backpack , and not to mention that it's more expensive here the $80 kanken goes to $110 , so it's really unaffordable.
Hey GlitchLife - we currently do not have the 11" iPad Pro to verify this 100%, but from comparing the dimensions it looks like this iPad is too big to fit into the Fjallraven Greenland Pocket. You can check out all of the size specifications of the bag in the full review here packhacker.com/travel-gear/fjallraven/greenland-pocket/ 👍 - Rebecca
All those items you choose are the crappy end of Fjallraven. They just want lots of people wearing their logo to advertise the company. Where Fjallraven do well is on proper backpacking rucksacs and clothing. They only have 2 negatives - weight and price.....
i find it hilarious that people buy a kånken nowdays, its super uncomfy and literally made for kids (look it up) and the straps are just a single piece of fabric, every time i see a person with the original kånken i just know they bought it because they think its "hip" and stylish, yeah no, its not, its like running around with a squarebob spongepants backpack and you look silly, (the more updated laptop ones are somewhat ok but still funny, just buy something else from fjällräven they make a ton of backpacks.)
What’s your favorite Fjallraven product?
Both the Greenland (Winter) Jacket and Totepack No.1 are really great products imho.
Kånken, original.
Raven backpack 28l. Excellent quality and perfect size
My rainjacket!
The cheap knockoffs lol

You got it, Chad! We're glad you're digging the content. 👍

“Toiletry” in my mind is tampons, change of underwear, qtips, tissue, etc. Makeup bags are for makeup essentials.
I've got coats, jackets, sweatshirts, shirts, t shirts, shorts, caps and hats...all great quality items
Same. Love the quality and look
All their other products that I've gotten the chance to use are also all very good, great for trekking and hikes.
Should do a similar video on all items from Bellroy, AER, Peak Design, and Eagle Creek.
North face too

I do love how u use it before reviewing the product it really helps me to find the perfect fiallraven gear !!😁 it’s really cool
I love my passport wallet the only bummer is that the zipper stopped working and it has a hole near the zipper after 2 years of use :(
FrozenPoisonDust it depends where you get it but if you go to the store you can get it fix for free
This is super helpful loving your channels! Helped me alot about all my kanken products !!
Great video. Will check those products. The girl makes the video a pleasure to follow.

When I was a kid I always thought the arctic fox is the Loch Ness monster
Wish the kanken straps were longer.
Yep they're pathetic

Thinking about getting the sling bag for festivals
It's so nice! I love it. It is just the perfect size. I definitely recommend!
Its so cute, i'm planning on buying one !!
Great vid! I own both the Kanken Card Wallet and the Ulvo Hip Pack Large and they're great 🙂.
Vardag backpack and (in winter) Nordic Heater. Now I want that wallet and I predict that will become my favorite 😄
Marian theLibrarian have had the wallet for about 3 months and i love it
Thanks! It arrives tomorrow!

Rfid protection is not necessary
Finally I know how to pronounce Fjall.....
I have the same bag , love it!
Bought the cute sling, love it

I hope they come out with anti theft backpacks.
Do you recommend any particular elastic/velcro/whatever straps to control the flying shoulder straps?
Great video!

I like the Kanken but I think I’m too big of a guy for it. The straps fit but it sits high on my back and feels like I have an amazon box between my shoulder blades.
Maybe try their other options, they have more backpacks than the Kånken. Also they used to make Kånken big or XL, maybe that one would do.

Will the razer 15” fit on the Fjallraven Ulvo 23?
Have you been able to compare the Ulvo 23L to the rolltop version? I find myself gravitating towards the rolltop.

could kanken laptop case fit in kanken laptop compartment?,

Stupidly expensive
It's made to be lightweight, and to last many years, that's why their products are expensive. If you don't find it to be worth it, that's fine.
