스캘럽된 기타를 잡고 연주할때 기존 기타들과 느낌이 다른건 사실이고요. 뭐 작두를 타는 느낌이 드신다는 분들도 있고 ㅋㅋ. 확실히 호불호는 있습니다. 그러나 저는 스캘럽된 기타가 훨씬 연주할때 초킹, 비브라토, 슬라이딩시 이점이 있어서 좋다고 생각하고요 단점으로는 저의겨우 코드 플레이시 좀 어려울수 있다는 생각입니다. 하이코드는 훨씬 일반기타보다 잡기 쉬운데 일반적인 코드를 잡을때 조금만 잘못 잡으면 미스가나서 정확하게 잡아야 해요. 그래서 다음번 기타는 스캘럽을 10~22플랫만 하고 1~9 플랫은 그냥 놔두려해요 현재 3대의 스캘럽 된 기타를 쓰고 있고 일반기타 5대 더 있는데 이 기타들도 조만간 스캘럽 할듯 ^^
기타 만드시는 영상들 재미있게 잘 보고 있습니다. 악기 만드시는 게 정말 너무 부럽습니다. 질문이 하나 있습니다. 기타 줄 맞추다가 궁금한게 하나 있어서 질문드립니다. 기타 스케일이라는 걸 정확히 맞추어야 옥타브가 잘 맞는다고 들었는데요. 기타 스케일 길이를 본넛에서부터 브리지까지 길이를 맞출때 어느 줄을 기준으로 하나요? 브릿지는 본넛과 평행이 아니고 비스듬히 되어 있는데 어느 줄에 스케일 길이를 맞추어서 기타가 나오는 건가요?
@@koonsickgreen6272 zero of my finger touches the fretboard with extra jumbos unless I intentionally press extra hard to bend the note. If I were to press that hard it would distort the note by up to a full step.
@tedgunderson67 in that case i bet ure right. I have super jumbos on a few of my guitars. When i bend and vib, my fingers do tend to touch the board. I guess everyone is different
@@koonsickgreen6272 I can’t play scalloped necks because I don’t have enough control as is with the extra jumbos, my intonation would be terrible with a scalloped. I can’t argue that scalloped isn’t even more sensitive than extra jumbo though. If I had more control I might be able to capitalize on the scalloped necks virtues.

그렇군요.. 학교 다니던 시절 통기타를 스켈럽으로 갈아 봤었습니다. 그때는 잉위 스타일으로 갈았었는데 지금 다시 한다면 리치 블랙모어 스타일로 만들 겁니다. 지판 중앙이 아니고 플렛쪽만 살짝 갈아내는 스켈럽.. 개인적으로 리치 블랙모어 스켈럽이 코드와 멜로디에 더 안정적이라는 생각이 듭니다. 리치 스켈럽은 지판 움켜 잡았을때 음정 변화가 많지 않고 이코노미 피킹으로도 헤머링, 풀링 오프로 풀 피킹하는 소리 만들고 스피드도 낼 수 있습니다. 잉위 스켈럽은 왼손 힘 빼고 살살 잡아야 합니다. 줄이 너무 박혀서 손이 좀 아파요.. ㅎㅎ
Not sure why people do this? If you press too hard the string will go waaay out of tune, or maybe thats the purpose? I seen many of these scalloped guitars and heard from people who owe one that you need to be ver delicate with your fingers when playing. Well that makes playing only harder and I dont know what are the benefits and why would people do that.
As long as I know, in general, the reason for scalloping the fingerboard is because you can create a banding effect just by pressing the strings. If you bend and press at the same time, the pitch of the note goes up very high, so you don't really need a whammy bar.
You only feel the string, your finger doesn't touch the fretboard so you get a very good grip of the string for aggressive bends and vibrato as you can push it or pull it more from the side giving you more leverage and you're not as likely to slip off during a big or fast bend. It's a very different feel. I scalloped my Squire Strat with YJM pickups and personally I like the feel a lot. Just feels wrong to scallop a Les Paul but cheap guitars I don't have sentimental attachement to, I would definetly scallop, it makes some things harder but other easier so depends on your style. Some like Ritchie Blackmore only scallop past fret 15 or so, for good grip on the upper frets but easy chord playing on the lower ones, good compromise. This is Yngwie style, entire fretboard. Yes you can go out of tune more easily but your not supposed to grip that hard anyway even a non scalloped guitar will go out of tune a fair bit. So it's not a bad way to practice a lighter touch and the lighter the string gauge the bigger the effect. You'd barely notice it on 10 gauge but you still get better grip. It essentially just makes the frets bigger. If you are used to big frets small ones can feel weird and scalloping essential raises the frets. If you have a cheap Strat or similar lying around give it a try or go to a guitar store and try an Yngwie Malmsteen signature Strat, they are scalloped. That's what most are doing, to make Yngwie style guitars.

@@jmdh55 폼 나잔아요 ^^ ㅋㅋ. 연주시 초킹, 비브라토 슬라이딩 등을 할때 지판의 저항이 없어서 좀더 강력하고 부드럽게 연주가능합니다. 속주에도 도움이 많이 되고요
@@jmdh55 줄을 더 꽈 눌러도 됩니다. 지판이 손꾸락 살을 미는 바람에 들어가는 힘을 제거하는 정도요. 근데 너무 누르면 음이탈이 생겨서 장단이 있습니다. 스캘롭이 큰 비브라토 하는것도 조금 더 쉽게 해준다네유.

일반적으로 1번줄을 기준으로 인토네이션을 적용하고 나면 기준 스케일보다 09게이지 줄은 1.5mm 정도 뒤로 더 가있고, 10게이지 줄은 2mm 정도 뒤로 더 물러납니다.

I scalloped my guitar using coarse sand paper, without shapes just by free hand, the result was good.
겨우 1.5mm 갈아내는 건데 생각보다 깊게 파지네요..
스켈럽 지판 작업은 비용 얼마 드나요?
1.5mm가 생각보다 깊습니다.
근데 잉베이 시크네쳐 기타 스켈럽은 1.5mm 보다 더 깊더라고요.
스켈럽 비용은 로즈우드 지판 기준 35만입니다.
펜더 잉베이 모델은 2mm 기준으로 스캘럽 되어 있습니다. 좀 사용해 보니 2mm는 과한것 같아서 1.5mm로 부탁드렸는데 저에게는 딱 이었습니다^^

As long as I know, in general, the reason for scalloping the fingerboard is because you can create a banding effect just by pressing the strings.
