Lorcana player here. Can confirm, I’m really happy with the way FFG is treating us. This is good business. Heck, compared to Ravensburger, this is excellent business.
One of my LGS’s held a lot of product so we have are having 12 player drafts every week. The turn outs have been 15-20 people every night. Having a blast so far!

Congrats on 1 year on youtube! Here in Austin, Tx the Local scene has been much better than I excepted and drafts are filling up fast to the point were players are coming to the stores without a spot hoping that a spot opens because someone doesn’t show up. I can’t believe a Star Wars TCG is actually blowing up.
MrCool who won the London event is a 2x FF TCG world champ and runs a TCG store in London, which shows the calibre of players interested in the game.

Great conversation y'all. I haven't been able to do events just yet but I love this game. I'm enjoying it more than lorcana and feel like the deck building is more accessible.
A few local stores that are bought in and supporting held back stock to maintain weekly play which is great. But I also have local stores that didn't or flat out refuse to support (no reason given)
Excited to see how far this game goes.

SWU is how you do a product launch, all the scalpers were like "but but you'll destroy the game printing too much!" nope they printed lots and its still selling like crazy because people want product and the game is super healthy.

The reception for this game is crazy, shoulda hired Stank Tooth as a consultant LOL, it is now the biggest game at my LGS, the store even lets you trade your prize packs for OP packs which is sweet. My only fear is some of the market costs rising on cards and what it'll look like in the future.
Yeah for me right now a box costs less than Vader
My locals have been 20+ for every event. I'm working on a Inquisitor/Blue deck to surprise everyone at the next event. No one was using Inquisitor last week but I've seen the light.

Can you please shout out the stores in the Chicago area that you're talking about? I've played at Prism Gaming in Logan Square and Dice Dojo in Edge Water and had an excellent time at both, but neither had an achievement system like you described
