@Julia Turner....i did read somewhere that Michael and Natasha have married as she was addressed as Natasha Crawford in the article. I'm happy too for him to have found someone to not just love him but really take care of him. I believe they live a quiet normal life in the New Zealand home Michael bought years ago when he was treating his ME.
He has said that, while he continues to be fond of his first wife Gabrielle, he has since met and been living with a woman he met at least a decade ago. He spoke of her in an interview not too long ago. Here is a clip from the interview - "... his marriage to his wife Gabrielle came to an end, when he was unfaithful. ‘Divorce was horrendous. You look on it as a failure. And then you slowly grow in different ways, but you can’t forget the love that you shared.’ They have since become friends again. She now has a successful career as a chef, known as 'The Dancing Chef' she has written recipe books. Michael Crawford is a wise man to keep his private life private. Too many stars let light in on their relationship, and the scrutiny jinxes it. I'm so glad he has happiness in this private life. He has brought so much joy to people he will never meet - he deserves that stability and contentment at home.
TOTALLY! And it should be videoed - I have searched but can find no recording of Michael Crawford's original production with Sarah Brightman. Crawford invented the role - everyone who followed him did a great job but no one could possibly fill his shoes. He WAS the Phantom! He is remarkable at 75, he absolutely could do it.
glamdolly20 HES actually going to be 78 this year, but he can definitely do it! He was the will to want to do it again, and the vocal and physical ability to do it. Maybe if more fans want it, Michael will do it!
@@phantomphan873 I wish Andrew Lloyd Webber asked him to do it as a one-off, special performance - I didn't realise MC is 78 but he is clearly in fine fettle and could pull it off. In fact the role of Phantom suits an older actor in terms of the story. Am I right in thinking there is no video recording of Crawford's original Phantom? If so, that's a travesty! It could be corrected if he did one final performance and they released it as a DVD. Here's hoping!
