Jordi Franch It's the music of the people who mourn their lost freedom. For example, the first song several issues come together. Religiosity, the work of women, education of women, the social demands and local customs. All this in a lullaby. I guess that gives you an idea of what the catalan feel.

Nura Rial ist Goßartig hab vor Jahren mar 2 Alben gekauft, war auch anfang der Woche bei Dradio zu hören ;)

Nice, it reflects and grasps pretty accurately the beautiful sense of melancholy that characterized the music and poetry not just of Catalonia but the whole Iberian Peninsula. Beauty goes beyond political and ideological frontiers, indeed, despite its political exploitation.
In fact, until well into the 16th century, the influences of Catalan popular music were mostly Italian and Occitan, then territories belonging to or closely linked to the Casal de Barcelona and the Crown of Aragon. Then it was this music that would inspire the music of Spanish Court, with the Catalan Mateu Flecha and Del Encina.
