- Hey guys! Today we're taking a look at the new targeting systems in ArmA 3 V1.60! Really cool addition. The entire video was one-take because I was seriously enjoying the hell out of mere CAS runs.

How can I make that aiming reticle for the GBUs more visible? I find it EXTREMELY hard to see, and I usually only see it when it's contrasting against the black background of my instrument panel.

the little aim compensator reticle helps SOOOO much with dropping bombs off jets xD
this targeting system is so damn OP for King of hill lol, I destroy them tanks like nothing man
Any tips on button setup? Always find my x52 really a pain to setup for arma especially not to have it interfere with soldier controls

Hey, are the Macers supposed to auto lock onto Ground vehicles? I have tested it multiple times and the only way to lock for me with them is using T like the default locking system

When you go to the GBU's there is the small grey reticle that shows where the bomb will go. it is hard to see but its there
I know he mentioned it in the beginning but whats the difference between the grey reticle and the dynamic green reticle. when should use which?
I just updated ARMA 3 and got the graphical update but it doesn't look that great on default settings ( at least for me). I like your settings way more. Do you mind telling me what settings (Brightness/Contrast/Saturation %) are you using?

Drewski, do you only fly the KA-50 in DCS?
Funny you mention the dive bomb technique! I play a lot of wasteland and spent around 300-500 hours in jets in arma2. The salt I incured from that tactic alone could run a gatorade factory XD.
People always called me a hacker when I could get a GBU on target with no laser designator. I honestly miss my F35 because the turn radius on that thing makes dive bombing a breeze. That and it can get to altitude so quick that most AA view distance is rendered useless.
Can't wait to see what VTOLs we have in Apex!
are u usinng a rift or smth like that ?? if not ... how do you control your camera ?
how are you getting the target box to pop up with the main gun? I can never get a target box without already knowing where the target is and direct locking with the macers....

About time they added a CCIP system supported natively within the game.
Drewski, or anyone, how do you lock onto vehicles so far away and out of your vision? is it R?
I'm currently working on a A-10C Mod which will include TGPs, CCIP which only appear in the HUD, working MFDs and much more. So you can look forward to that ;D

hey if you press left CTRL + Right mouse button you can get to the targeting pod
Hmm doesn't work for me for some reason. Is it the toggle optics keybind? That works for me, but don't get this targeting pod for some reason. :(
Forgot to mention it depends on which modded aircraft your trying to use for example it works on the a-10 or su-25 on rhs but it should work for all vanilla planes. but if thats not the case than it might be your optics keybind.
***** It's the keybind under common->multifunction camera I found out. Which was an empty keybind for me. After setting it it works.

I don't know. My Wipeout doesn't have any of the "new" interface. I can't lock anything beyond 2km with the missles. My cockpit is all shaking and as soon as i fire the 30mm the accuracy goes nuts. I have no clue why my Wipeout is so different. I have the Jets DLC.
If i select the GBU's i don't have a fancy grey crosshair, tellming me where it's gonna explode :c

I cant see CCIP cross for a164 gatling cannon ( mark to show you where you must shoot the vehicle to impact it) how fix it ? I havent buy the jets dlc

Look up the "Targeting improvements" thread on the BI forums (thread starter is Ondřej "oukej" Kužel, formerly QA but in 2015 becoming a "sandbox designer" and this year an R&D designer) and you'll see them!
I wish the modded planes like the A-10 and the F-15k had targeting systems this simple. It might just be mysel and the controls i use. I just can’t lock anything.

How much improvement do you get when you fly with a Joystick compared to a xbox controller?
I wish the aviation side on arma would get more like dcs and also have proper sight distances.
