Great video! I stayed at the Usery Mountain Park campground last May and liked it. I’m in my 40s, but no kids or pets. It was too hot to boondock at the time and there were plenty of sites available with power and water.
I stayed in Coolage AZ at a roping Arena and it was nice. 500 a month with everything included. 3 months at 550... ?? Lone star... I had a job in Eloy doing a solar farm.
Thanks for this list. My wife and I are coming down from WA to Mesa in mid to late September to pick up a toyhauler we ordered from Dunesport in Mesa. Needed to find a place test everything out before returning home.
I live in mesa and if your coming in mid to late September and your wanting a spot to drive close to then I would make your reservations as soon as you can as Kristin said spaces tend to fill up fast
Some of the other places around the state or even in the Phoenix area is the state parks. Lost Dutchman State Park is a great place to visit especially for those who like to hike as there is numerous hiking trails from mild to extreme where you can hike up to the top of the mountain!
l stayed at a 55+ park unknowingly for 10 days a few weeks ago. How? I arrived after hours and did the self sign-in envelope thing. Originally only paid for 3 nights but decided to stay longer and called the front desk to extend. It wasn't until I looked into going back again dis I notice it was a 55+ park. But I assume you could do the same trick if you're in a pinch. Thanks for the Phoenix tips as I'll be over there next week and need a park or two
@@NoOrdinaryPath The whole 55+ thing is dying, they now say only one person in the group has to be 55, so just say your mom is out shopping, if they press ask for a refund and leave. You can get at least 2 days from this method
I can totally see that without kids. We just VISITIED my parents at a 55+ park in Phoneix and were given the dirty looks with our kids in tow. I think some are more flexible though.
@@NoOrdinaryPath Yes kids will certainly add an element to it, but if in a pinch for a place to stay the night at and leave in the am, dont be afraid to try to after hours sign in
With rent being what it is, my husband and mother in law and I and our two cats are probably coming out to Phoenix in August for my husband's leukemia treatment (probably 2-4 months) We are considering Getting an RV and staying in an RV park. For the age requirement ones, do all members of your party have to be over 55? Or just the person booking it? His mom is in her 60s we're in our 30s, no kids
I hope you understand that an RV park in Pheonix is just as much as renting. Try 900 to 1500 a month. I came here in my older RV from Minneapolis to relocate last January, and there are zero affordable options other than doing what I do, which is boondocking on public streets in industrial parks in Pheonix proper. I am under 55, my motorhome is older than 10 years old, and that means 99% of RV places discriminate immediately. It's just how it is. Also the State Trust land in Peoria was a good option for 14 day stays once a year, but meth heads have ruined it. The police in Peoria will run you off even if you have the proper permit. This town has a problem, it thinks it's a suburb of Los Angeles which makes it just as expensive.
In Apache Junction there is Sundance West RV park. They are under 55 and kids and pets are allowed.
Thanks for the advice!
Thank you for great information.

You will probably be OK without kids as long as someone is over 55 😉

They actually have age restrictions in RV parks?
👍👍
