Some great shots you're getting down there. Nice to see what the manufacturers are putting out now, most of the equipment at my workplace is older than I am.

Another great video. Even when you don't set your camera up perfectly, you still produce a great show !

I wish the northeast logging expo that comes to maine every other yr would set up like this.. they just park everything in the parking lot of the fairgrounds/ colosseum. Some chipper s or grinder do demos and the firewood processor stuff but no actual harvesting and skidding

Interesting video Tim what do people do with the tops of those trees seems like you would need some other machine to keep that mess cleared out if the loader can't reach it and is a stationary piece can't track over to it if the skider takes it there would be a lot of waste guess your setup would seem a heck of a lot better Napa Mike

I was wondering what those fancy bends are for in the hydraulic lines on top the loader arm, then I figured it out.The straight one probably costs $200 each to replace and the fancy bent ones are probably $900 each LOL.

Always nice to see shinny new equipment running . Could you tell us or show us how the processor works to take the limbs off . Watching this it looks like magic lol ? And what do you do with all the brush that comes off ? I know one day you were using it to fill some wet spots to hold up the machine but I'm sure you have loads of it on a big job .

What do you think about the 948 skidder Tim?

does that delimber give you the dia so you know where to cut the log and pulp wood? that sucks your sound and buncher video didnt work out. I had my camera set up in the perfect spot to get some great footage of a tj450 skidding whole trees and the memory card went corupt.

+Skidder Kev that delimber tells u no information. Makes it tough on an operator to nail the mill specs.

Csi does make a top measurement laser an gauge for the 264 ultra to tell you top size but no one ever gets it an tim is right it's hard for us to nail it on the spot but once you get yours eyes adjusted then not that bad

How does the machine tell the operator what the lengths are. So he knows when to cut them to length.

+Jay Nail he's just cutting them. All of this is for the show purposes only to see the machines run. Each company has to buy those blocks of wood they're cutting, they can do whatever they would like with it. Most all of it gets fed right into one of the chippers that are there running.
