I got sunscald on the back of my tree where the sun cannot shine. It's where a cinder block wall is located. Nevertheless, the tree bark split 4 inches, about 1/4" deep, in Spring with the temp swings - 50 degrees during the day and 30 at night. Was that sunscald?? How can I protect it now with winter approaching again?
Thanks! I just wrapped my young Shumardi Red Oak trees. Now I need to wrap my plum, and pear tree.

So easy to do, lots of benefit.
Can the creatures chew the bark, below the kraft paper?
I'm nervous for my trees.
What did you use for tape?
Man thanks for this video
What kind of tape do you use at the top to end the wrap?
