Guilty, Guilty, Guilty. Gun (.38) missing from Martha Jane’s; Scott saw a gun (.38) at the house that was missing after Gary was found; Melody told Rusty that he’s on the burn pile on the 3rd; only Melody was home on the 3rd; they narrowed down Gary’s death to the 3rd (last time he sent an email to not using his CPAP machine) then in recorded calls she said, he shouldn’t have been that badly burned!

Georgia Intestate Succession Laws state a person that dies without a Will, their Estate will be shared between the spouse and children however the spouse's share must be at least one-third of the Estate. So based on this Estate law, all of the children and Melody will have to share the Estate assets with Melody receiving 1/3 and the remainder being split amongst the children. So the belief that the children do not benefit from his death financially isn’t the case. The life insurance only lists Melody as a beneficiary so she would receive 100% of those funds.

Melody had means, motive, no alibi, didn't pass her polygraph test & was home alone while Gary's body burned in the fire pit. Exactly. She got angry with her children for getting money from their dad but she provided an example for 38 years of living off his money. After the kids were grown, why didn't she go to work and make her own money? Why not when the kids were little. Most of us women today (the same age as Melody) have worked and had careers while raising our children. Yes, it is sometimes difficult, but we make it work. She was a sponge, living off her husband while despising and betraying him. She was a very poor example for her children so she can blame herself for the way her children turned out. Her husband was an excellent example of a strong work ethic and financial independence. She was the OPPOSITE, and looks like some of her kids may have ended up more like her than their father. Sad.

Gary created grown children- not adults, incapable of handling their own affairs. However, he WAS getting sick of it - the kids admit he fought with them over money. How about stealing from your dad repeatedly and causing fights... then going behind the surviving spouse's back to assume control over the Estate- property/assets/accounts... money goes missing AGAIN... but no bills are paid, animals aren't fed and you also lose a condo that dad owned. So your sister has to get you kicked out and bring in an independent third party to regain control and SHE SINGLE HANDEDLY has to pay for EVERYTHING (the others are deadbeats) including HER BROTHERS CAR INSURANCE to protect the Estate. I am no expert but a man found burned up with a bullet in his body was murdered. This expert witness must be a complete idiot to say that his manner of death was undetermined, how stupid can one be? True, we do not know if he was dead already when he was put in the burn pile, but he surely died at the hands of another (bullet, burned body) and that constitutes homicide. This expert witness was NOT a bombshell, he did not appear credible at all about the body. This woman is guilty, and her defense team did her no favors. I LOVE the prosecution team, they did a phenomenal job of not only showing all the circumstantial evidence of her guilt but also showing the jury that Scott did NOT do the murder. They had a double job since the defense tried to pin the murder on Scott. How disgusting for a mother to do this, but it appears that she pitted her children against each other long before the murder. I feel sorry for her children, all of them.

    There's plenty of proof.
Days 14 and 15 (Thursday and Friday, last week) analyzed Melody's phone calls on Tuesday, July 3rd. Melody started the day using her regular phone. At some point later in the afternoon,, she switched to her burner phone for calls with Rusty. A series of calls on and off from the evening of July 3rd to the early hours of July 4 (maybe 2AM?). i looked at these over the weekend but can't remember them well now. When she was communicating with Rusty the night of July 3rd on the burner phone, she had stopped responding to her regular phone. Some of the calls with Rusty were very short, others were lengthy. Melody was the only one at home at this time. Scott was at the lake. Grand kids wanted to come over. Melody said to wait till next day, July 4th.
    THE CPAP MACHINE
Gary absolutely needed the CPAP machine to sleep to aid his breathing because of sleep apnea. The last time the CPAP machine was used was the night of July 2nd and was switched of the morning of July 3rd at 7.48AM
CPAP machine was NEVER USED the night of July 3rd. Gary never got the chance to go to bed by midnight like he normally did. His car was at home. Melody had both his wallet and a credit card (not the debit card which she usually had) both of which she shouldn't have had.
Looking at the timing of the calls to Rusty that night, prosecutors were able to narrow the time of murder/shooting to 10PM the night of July 3rd. That was the same night (in one of those short calls) that Melody told Rusty that Gary was in the burn pile. Rusty told her he didn't want to know anymore about whatever she did. This was before anybody knew that Gary was missing. At 10.52pm on that same night, Melody called Scott and asked him to come back home and check the horses for some reason. Scott arrived home at 11.34PM. The evil deed had already been done and cleaning completed.
On a jail call, Melody clearly said to Rusty, if you keep talking, you are going to single handedly hand me over. In another call, Melody told Rusty to tell Amanda not to speak to anybody about anything. On another jail call, Melody told Amanda how Rusty had been talking and Amanda declared how furious she was with Gary for talking.
Do these sound like innocent people?

I want to hear from the panel how the jury reacts to the defendant and their demeanor. She wore pearls and a white diamond ring for several days of the trial. Then after Rusty mentioned a black engagement ring that he was looking at for his girlfriend (evidentally at the same time he and Melody were looking at gold bands), Melody had a black diamond ring on for a couple of days. I got the feeling she was so full of herself and narcissistic that she wanted to send the message that Rusty gave her that black diamond ring. Then she didn't have any diamond ring on and just the black band with diamonds that she has always worn. I also believe Amanda was watching the trial and telling her mother how to dress, etc. She's (Melody) definitely a very controlling and bossy woman. You hear that in her jail calls and her calls to Rusty on the burner phone. She's a greedy, selfish, bullying woman who used men to get what she wanted. Even the neighbor and the two men who she met after Gary died. She a user and a killer, in my mind. The children were immature and irresponsible with money but they didn't murder their father. They love him a lot.

Or to have him help her get it started to burn and then shot him and he was close enough to fall in, so she wouldn’t have to move him if any at all and then just added fuel to the fire to keep it going? Just a thought. It’s usually someone you know and someone close to you. I don’t think Scott would bite the hand that feed him. Plus I think he loved his dad. He was very angry because his dad died. When my dad passed, I was so angry, I wasn’t fit to be in public. I think like has been said, she is the one that had motive and he took her off the payroll! I would have been very upset myself! I think this is plausible. I don't recall any evidence of a lot of blood being cleaned up inside the house, but there was a bullet found inside the basement apartment that had Gary's DNA on it. The prosecution seems to be suggesting that he was shot once upstairs, then walked down the stairs. But there really wasn't a lot of blood evidence inside on the stairs or in the apartment. Melody also told Rusty "I *know* they won't find anything in the house." How could she possibly know that unless she was the murderer? That bullet in the basement is pretty confusing. One would think that a through and through gunshot wound would bleed a lot more than that. Did she plant that bullet to confuse the investigation? No clue... The only thing I'm sure of is she did it. If I were in the jury I'd vote to convict.

I wonder if the parents had decided that Scott needed some tough love after Scott stole from them. All of the kids were told that they the parents would not be handing money out to them as freely as they had before. I think Melody felt the kids needed to stop taking advantage of their dad. The kids knew if their dad had come to this conclusion, that their mother was behind the whole thing. So they plot

Just a matter of not blaming a victim, his behavior regarding his loving live has no place in the way he ended dead. Now, if she is a suspect, everything about her life should be put into light. There’s no feminism vs machism in here.

Husband wasn't ever going to divorce her. So why kill him? The son had more to gain with his Dad gone and mom taking the fall.
I don't believe she killed her husband.

Except she never cared enough to even inquire who could have done this. Couldn't even fake act concerned. The text msgs. Her actions and words thereafter. She wanted the widow benefits, the new husband, and a new life. I know it's hard to wrap your mind around evil, but she's guilty of this crime.
