Had these 2 a few months, my experience/take: Sound: As Jefe says, totally subjective but for me it's the T2s overall. Just prefer the 'bigger' fuller and wider sound from those (vented?) 12mm drivers. Much less 'in your head' feeling even with nothing playing. But I do love the 'fun' of the Earfuns, really punchy and detailed sound - often fall asleep to smooth jazz in these things. Reliability/Touch controls: EFP no question. T2 has been disappointingly buggy. Sometimes one bud or the other will have pause or volume just not working when I take them out the case. Usually putting that bud back, then out again fixes it. Or you can reboot them by long pressing. Few times one bud or other will just go dead despite being charged. Once thought it was over but dead left bud came back to life after a FIFTH factory reset. T2 obviously needs better firmware or something. Once they're settled, paired with each other and my device, it's usually all good. Still worth the bugs. Both of them have done this thing of pairing to my phone while in their case - weird. But the T2 does it a LOT more. Don't know if it's case or buds, but lower prices come at a cost I guess lol. Fix - open/close the case to shut them down again.
I prefer having ambient sound mode. I hardly use ANC. When doing my daily jogging, i like being aware of my surroundings to avoid potential scenarios for an accident.
The T2’s for phones hands down. Indoors or out. I just got the T2s and I am torn. I like them but as much as I think it is better for phones, I probably won’t keep them. I also have the EarFun Free Pro’s and those buddies have replaced my Soundpeats Trueair2, which I find I don’t much like anymore. The EarFun Free Pro’s are still getting it done. Thanks for the review as I was wondering how the T2 would stack up against the Earfun Free Pros. Definitely agree smaller profile of Earfuns is huge as I tend to use them while working at home. Prefer sound quality as ANC is rarely used.
I own the first generation of the T2, I mostly use ambiant in my daily life but when I'm resting and studying via my tablet/ laptop I turn on anc. Love your reviews ty
Update Jefe, got the T2's today. I gotta tell you I also have the Earfun free pro and Earfun Air, both of which I love, but there's an element of the sound of the Soundpeats that is just a cut above for me. Not to mention the bass and deep sub-bass that the others don't, it's balanced with the mids and highs. I'm hearing parts of songs that I've been missing with other buds. These are my new faves. Appreciate you brother!

I would say sound quality trumps all, if it sounds great, I’d get by with passive noise isolation. If the sound quality was mediocre/subpar, doesn’t matter how amazing its noise cancellation. Great comparison video, sick keyboard + mat in the background!

Hey you're my main guy one thing I don't understand is why some of reviewers will say earbuds are crappy and others say they're great I just don't get it. or as an example one will say it has a very narrow sound stage and another reviewer will say it has a wide sound stage. But I do trust your reviews implicitly.
I guess you can always use a equalizer app to improve the audio quality and volume quality to, you can also download a volume booster, but we shouldn't need to. We should be able to use them without the use of any enhancements, but they can be good additions to, in my view. Also, if you were to pick one earbuds right now, what would they be? In terms of overall long lasting quality and features in that price bracket or even under the amount of 80
Call me vain, but I have never bought the Earfuns as good as they may be because I can’t get over wearing buds that say Earfun when I’m out in public. The S logo on the soundpeats is a much better design IMO and I wish that earfun would design a smooth logo or something. I know it’s stupid and a fairly lame reason not to buy them but aesthetics matter to me when I pick up an item like this
Fair enough. A cleaner logo design would be a good move. I personally do not care about looks as I can't see them while wearing them. I care even less about the opinions of strangers in public. But that is just me. I know we all don't see eye to eye on everything.
@@ELJefeReviews agreed but logos are a big deal in marketing and the wearing of merch. We have swoosh logos all over our clothes in places we can’t see but it’s the branding. I wouldn’t wear shoes that said FootFun on them either. I’m just stupid like that but I also don’t own FootJoy golf shoes even though they are supposed to be amazing shoes. 🤷♂️
If I had to choose I would probably go with the ambient mode but I’m more for sound quality. An its nice to be able to hear your surroundings when you need to. Keep up the good work man an hope your brother’s doing good.

I use noise canceling more on my 1more TWS ANC. It makes the listening experience better and shuts off the noise when in the gym or traveling. If there was a quicker way to activate the ambient noise I would probably use it more, but it's easier to just pull out one earbud and take advantage of the auto on/off.
Excellent comparison video as always, hitting all the important points. Like to wear buds at work, but need to hear what's going on, so ambient sound is more important.

I’ve had my Earfun Free Pro for a little over 6 weeks. I use them every single day at my factory job and I really think they are my favorite. So comfortable and I have them in my ears for almost 8 straight hours. They sound so good and the bass really is the standout. Don’t buy for ANC. I don’t even bother with it. For $60, they are hard to beat
I also use my earfun free pro in my work but the anc and the passive noise cancelling for me is bad even tho i change the tips, i work on a noisy environment and when i use anc it feels like the air on my airgun is entering my ears, is it just that i have a defective pair or what? Sorry for bad english
@@bara2031 With everyone ears being different they just might not fit that good in your ear. But if you buy some foam ear tips you will have a much better chance at getting a good seal for the passive noice cancelling. I’ve used foam in the past and I highly recommend them. Comply make excellent foam tips.
Earfun for the win but it's close,these are so affordable you can get both. One is louder,the other has a bit more stage,better isolation and noise cancellation. The Earfun is the at home set and the Soundpeats for travel. Win Win. Excellent review these or the FIIL are going to be my first wireless sets.

Ambient is more important since we are talking about earbuds. The earbuds themselves are already blocking enough outside noise so anc is a bit useless for earbuds in my opinion. So ambient mode is more important for me. 😎😎😎
Nice review as always. To answer your question from the video, it depends on the situation. If on public transport or if a politician is speaking, then ANC is certainly more important. However, with me being totally blind, when out walking through town, I have to have my Hear-through. Truth is, I shouldn't be listening to music and walking at the same time, but there you go.

yeah it's interesting I buy products for the active noise cancellation but I end up keeping them for the transparency mode. I'm really impressed with the j lab epic air ambient mode... It's noisy but man can it pump noise in there

So good to see this video cause I allready narrowed my list down to these two (and the h1 but it's not available yet). But even after watching this great video, I can't really decide which to buy 🤔
Disagree with wider sound stage on t2. I have both, and definitely more base on t2 but the overall sound quality sounds slightly muddy and closed compared to the earfun pros. The sound quality was noticeably better over all for the ear fun pros. Combine that with the tiny profile, wireless charging and ear fun pros are my pick by a small margin. I do agree the anc is better on t2's but neither are mindblowing. So for that reason anc in buds just isnt good enough on any that I have tried to carry much weight (also have the sony xm3). For buds anc is more gimmicky than anything. Comfort and sound quality still command probably 80% of the weighting for me in terms of value. Now over the ear headphones are different story because the anc actually significantly helps.
I need ambient sound, so I don't take off my earbuds each and every time I need to talk to someone... And when walking on a dangerous street I need to hear the surroundings for safety... I'm definitely buying the t2, I have the sonic and I love it! Earfun unfortunately don't have a good online vendor here in Asia... Soundpeats has shops on Lazada and shoppee, but they don't have it yet...
I got the earfun for my wife to wear she is a dog groomer wanted anc and transparency mode give these a try just got them today. I'm about to try them myself first.
Ambient mode is more important for me. I use my earbuds at work and need to hear what's going on around me. If I want to drown out the outside noise,I can just turn my volume up.

Bit confused between your recommendation on Edifier TWS1 Pro or soundpeats T2 or H1 and the earfun? First priority for me is clear conversation, playing some PUBG or COD games and listening wide range of jazz and chilled music and of course good battery life. IMO Ambient sound mode Is definitely more important and useful. If you have ear phones in you’re most likely going to be listening to something which defeats the purpose of having anc on and using up more battery life for no reason.
Jefe always bringing heat! For me, I think the ambient mode may be more important. I work in an office where things are always going on so it's good to be aware, plus at home I got babies running around so always gotta be on my toes!

How do these compare to mid range anc ear buds in the 100-150 range? Like the anker pro 2 out the jabra 75t ? Do you feel you are missing out on a lot performance and features? I think ANC is more important. I can always take one earbud out if really necessary. But there's not much else you can do to improve ANC other than fit.
Ambient mode is more important than ANC. I wonder why ANC buds have ambient mode when it's possible on non ANC as well. I found only one non ANC buds with ambient mode.

Hi Jefe very nice review! So I've got the Soundpeats T2 the other day, the only problem I encountered is when I listened to music with ANC mode on. For about 80% volume, the sound sometimes starts breaking especially on treble frequency, it really does ruins the music experience, but when ANC is off it works just fine. Have you experienced the same situation as mine? I already asked my seller about this and they said it is normal. Hopefully you can help me out. Thanks!
ANC or ambiente? ANC all the way. It I want ambience I just reduce the volume or un-tight the adjustment. The mic of the T2 also sounds better to me... I have the fiil t1pro and might consider an upgrade.
I just got the Earfun Free Pro. Lots of positives but here are a few negative observations I have noticed and hopefully will help your viewers: 1. When you charge the buds in the case (without having the USB-C charger plugged in), the LED indicator light is NOT intuitive. You can't tell when the buds are done charging. The LED light stays off while charging the buds. However, while charging the case via USB-C cable, the LED light will turn RED then GREEN when fully charged. 2. I'm using a Samsung Note9 and a older Samsung A8 tablet. On both devices, the audio clips in and out (similar to when you are too far from your device) while playing any type of media (RUclips, TuneIn Radio app, Spotify, Disney+, Amazon Prime, Cloud Music App, etc) whether I'm holding my device or if my device is on the table a foot or two away. I don't have another or different manufacturer device to test this but my Tranya T10 DOES NOT exhibit this behavior on these same devices. 3. At the highest volume, the treble or high pitched voices is waaay too bright/high. 4. Mics are, at best, decent. Barely blocks surrounding/environment noise and can be clearly heard. 5. The three modes (ANC, Ambient Mode, Normal) are barely indistinguishable when switching between these modes. Low Latency Mode is also not noticable BUT there is NOT any delay with audio and video, at least not on RUclips, Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime with Low Latency turned off.
1. Agreed. This is something they need to work on. 2. I do not have this issue with mine. You may want to exchange them. 3. This depends on the listener. I don't mind the added clarity. Especially considering most TWS on the market lack treble and are overly bass boosted. 4. Agreed. Gotta spend well above $100 for improved mic quality. This is why I don't recommend budget TWS for calls. 5. This depends on good of a seal you get. Unfortunately the ANC isn't the strongest and they lack passive noise isolation. Memory foam tips go a long way to remedy this and should have been included. LL mode is less for video and more for gaming. With COD and Fortnite the difference is small but noticeable.
I'm looking for good ANC and wondering if the Soundpeats T2s will work for me. I had the Tozo NC9s and they hurt my ears pretty fast. Do you find the T2s any smaller or better angled than the NC9s or do I have to just keep on looking. It's just so hard to judge this on the videos. There must be one for me - good sound, bright trebles, balanced bass to not overwhelm, strong ANC, comfortable fit for long wearing and even sleeping. Listen to Queen, LZ, vocals like Home Free, folk, and classical. I'm disabled, don't get out much, just want to shut out neighbors. no worry over issues of working out, getting wet, phone calls. Is good sound with wide stage, strong ANC and good fit even possible? I so appreciate your help Jeff.
The real question tho, do the T2's blink when they're in your ears? Soundpeats are notorious for this. Looks-wise, I much better prefer the T2's but ughh... only available in stock from April 21st on Amazon Germany.
They do not blink while in use. Only when pairing. It is a dim white LED that stays lit while they are in your ears. The LED points in a downward direction instead of outwards. Not really noticeable at all.

ANC is definitely more important than "ambient" sound. I want earbuds to block out the outside world; if I want to hear things around me, I'll just pop out a bud!
Ambient mode all day that way I don't have to take the earbuds out to hear better also on the earfun when you pull the eartip off is the tip a circle or a oval shape like the 1more anc because so far oval one's never get a seal in my ears please and thank you also great review man.
This is why I use my own round eartips with all my TWS and IEMs. The Earfun have a slight oval. Not as bad as 1More. Pick up a set of the SpinFit tips and go from there. I left a link in the video description of the ones that fit both the Earfun and Soundpeats.
Went out to purchase the Earfun Free Pro due to the sound quality (based on your recommendation). Had them about a month now and wondering what would you recommend (should I have extra cash) my upgrade purchase would be based on current market offerings.

if you are wondering why there is a big difference between 28 decibels and 30 decibels. Decibels are not calculated like normal numbers. I am not an expert at this but heres an example these are not actual values but the logic is the same as far as I know. lets say 1 dB is 1 if this is the case 2 dB = 4, 3 dB = 16, 4 dB = 64 etc etc. as you can see the difference between 3 dB and 4dB is MUCH greater than the difference between 1dB and 2 dB. As the numbers go higher so does the difference between each one thats why even tho you might think there are almost no differences between 28 dB and 30dB there is actually a big difference also heres my answer to the question of the day: ANC is muucchh more important for me. I love isolating myself from everything else around me but I cant also really use it when I am around people since I cant fucking hear them even with the ANC off. ambient mode is what I mostly use especially in my home since everybody gets angry at me because I cant hear them while listening to music but this still doesnt mean I like ambient mode. Its a need not a choise and if it was up to me I wouldnt turn off ANC once. So yeah I need an earphone with both ANC and Ambient/Transparent mode but ANC is more important
I use ambient sound more than ANC. Especially in the world we live today. I am looking for a pair with just 3 things : decent battery life (5 odd hours is fine), APTX and absolute uncompromising microphone performance. Which ones do you suggest? I don't necessarily have a set budget but I'd like to see options.
None offer all 3 requirements. Also, expecting “Absolute uncompromising mic performance” from true wireless earbuds is setting yourself up for disappointment. You should curb your expectations here. If you drop the aptX requirement, the the Apple AirPods Pro or Jabra Elite 85t can give you most of what you are looking for. Those two offer the best microphone experience I’ve tested so far. Other options with lesser mic performance include Sennheiser Momentum 2, Galaxy Buds Pro, and Sony SP800N.

Even I prefer ambient sound option over the ANC I have choose Earfun for the simple reason that they are smaller than Soundpeats.

Which ones are better a ambient sound ?under $100 ?
Hey you're my main guy one thing I don't understand is why some of reviewers will say earbuds are crappy and others say they're great I just don't get it. or as an example one will say it has a very narrow sound stage and another reviewer will say it has a wide sound stage. But I do trust your reviews implicitly.
We all hear things differently. The key is to find someone with similar taste to your own.
I guess you can always use a equalizer app to improve the audio quality and volume quality to, you can also download a volume booster, but we shouldn't need to. We should be able to use them without the use of any enhancements, but they can be good additions to, in my view. Also, if you were to pick one earbuds right now, what would they be? In terms of overall long lasting quality and features in that price bracket or even under the amount of 80
Call me vain, but I have never bought the Earfuns as good as they may be because I can’t get over wearing buds that say Earfun when I’m out in public. The S logo on the soundpeats is a much better design IMO and I wish that earfun would design a smooth logo or something. I know it’s stupid and a fairly lame reason not to buy them but aesthetics matter to me when I pick up an item like this
Fair enough. A cleaner logo design would be a good move. I personally do not care about looks as I can't see them while wearing them. I care even less about the opinions of strangers in public. But that is just me. I know we all don't see eye to eye on everything.
@@ELJefeReviews agreed but logos are a big deal in marketing and the wearing of merch. We have swoosh logos all over our clothes in places we can’t see but it’s the branding. I wouldn’t wear shoes that said FootFun on them either. I’m just stupid like that but I also don’t own FootJoy golf shoes even though they are supposed to be amazing shoes. 🤷♂️

If I had to choose I would probably go with the ambient mode but I’m more for sound quality. An its nice to be able to hear your surroundings when you need to. Keep up the good work man an hope your brother’s doing good.

I use noise canceling more on my 1more TWS ANC. It makes the listening experience better and shuts off the noise when in the gym or traveling. If there was a quicker way to activate the ambient noise I would probably use it more, but it's easier to just pull out one earbud and take advantage of the auto on/off.

The big problem I have with the T2 is wind noise, walking outdoors with ANC on even a gentle breeze is very annoying
You're not alone. I have had many people tell me the same thing. Sounds like they need to start adding WNR (Wind Noise Reduction) to their earbuds.
I’ve had my Earfun Free Pro for a little over 6 weeks.
I use them every single day at my factory job and I really think they are my favorite.
So comfortable and I have them in my ears for almost 8 straight hours.
They sound so good and the bass really is the standout.
Don’t buy for ANC. I don’t even bother with it.
For $60, they are hard to beat

I also use my earfun free pro in my work but the anc and the passive noise cancelling for me is bad even tho i change the tips, i work on a noisy environment and when i use anc it feels like the air on my airgun is entering my ears, is it just that i have a defective pair or what? With everyone ears being different they just might not fit that good in your ear.
But if you buy some foam ear tips you will have a much better chance at getting a good seal for the passive noice cancelling. I’ve used foam in the past and I highly recommend them.

Earfun for the win but it's close,these are so affordable you can get both. One is louder,the other has a bit more stage,better isolation and noise cancellation. The Earfun is the at home set and the Soundpeats for travel. Win Win. Excellent review these or the FIIL are going to be my first wireless sets.

Ambient is more important since we are talking about earbuds. The earbuds themselves are already blocking enough outside noise so anc is a bit useless for earbuds in my opinion. So ambient mode is more important for me. 😎😎😎

Nice review as always. To answer your question from the video, it depends on the situation. If on public transport or if a politician is speaking, then ANC is certainly more important. However, with me being totally blind, when out walking through town, I have to have my Hear-through. Truth is, I shouldn't be listening to music and walking at the same time, but there you go.

But I have the T1XS and with that app there's no comparison with sound quality the FIIl T1XS is quite a step up. So naturally I would step up to the Earfun.👍💯

yeah it's interesting I buy products for the active noise cancellation but I end up keeping them for the transparency mode. I'm really impressed with the j lab epic air ambient mode... It's noisy but man can it pump noise in there

Disagree with wider sound stage on t2. I have both, and definitely more base on t2 but the overall sound quality sounds slightly muddy and closed compared to the earfun pros. The sound quality was noticeably better over all for the ear fun pros. Combine that with the tiny profile, wireless charging and ear fun pros are my pick by a small margin. I do agree the anc is better on t2's but neither are mindblowing. So for that reason anc in buds just isnt good enough on any that I have tried to carry much weight (also have the sony xm3). For buds anc is more gimmicky than anything. Comfort and sound quality still command probably 80% of the weighting for me in terms of value. Now over the ear headphones are different story because the anc actually significantly helps.

I need ambient sound, so I don't take off my earbuds each and every time I need to talk to someone... And when walking on a dangerous street I need to hear the surroundings for safety... I'm definitely buying the t2, I have the sonic and I love it! Earfun unfortunately don't have a good online vendor here in Asia... Soundpeats has shops on Lazada and shoppee, but they don't have it yet...
Ambient sound is more useful to me. That said, I also appreciate hybrid ANC.

First priority for me is clear conversation, playing some PUBG or COD games and listening wide range of jazz and chilled music and of course good battery life.

IMO Ambient sound mode Is definitely more important and useful. If you have ear phones in you’re most likely going to be listening to something which defeats the purpose of having anc on and using up more battery life for no reason.

Jefe always bringing heat! For me, I think the ambient mode may be more important. I work in an office where things are always going on so it's good to be aware, plus at home I got babies running around so always gotta be on my toes!

Good video! I'm when I take a minute to think about it, it's very impressive how much time goes into these reviews. I think the t2 mic sounds better, especially outside. How do these compare to mid range anc ear buds in the 100-150 range? Like the anker pro 2 out the jabra 75t ? Do you feel you are missing out on a lot performance and features? Just curious on your opinion
Glad you like them! Both Jabra and Anker give you much more features in addition to app support. These give you strong performance but no extras.

I think ANC is more important. I can always take one earbud out if really necessary. But there's not much else you can do to improve ANC other than fit.
Ambient mode is more important than ANC. I wonder why ANC buds have ambient mode when it's possible on non ANC as well.
I found only one non ANC buds with ambient mode.

Hi Jefe very nice review! So I've got the Soundpeats T2 the other day, the only problem I encountered is when I listened to music with ANC mode on. For about 80% volume, the sound sometimes starts breaking especially on treble frequency, it really does ruins the music experience, but when ANC is off it works just fine. Have you experienced the same situation as mine? I already asked my seller about this and they said it is normal. Hopefully you can help me out. Thanks!
I think when you’ve just gotten fresh pairs of earbuds you need to “break in” the drivers kind of like conditioning them.

ANC or ambiente? ANC all the way. It I want ambience I just reduce the volume or un-tight the adjustment.
The mic of the T2 also sounds better to me... I have the fiil t1pro and might consider an upgrade.
Both would complement each other well as they are very different in sound quality and ANC.
I just got the Earfun Free Pro. Lots of positives but here are a few negative observations I have noticed and hopefully will help your viewers:
1. When you charge the buds in the case (without having the USB-C charger plugged in), the LED indicator light is NOT intuitive. You can't tell when the buds are done charging. The LED light stays off while charging the buds. However, while charging the case via USB-C cable, the LED light will turn RED then GREEN when fully charged.
2. I'm using a Samsung Note9 and a older Samsung A8 tablet. On both devices, the audio clips in and out (similar to when you are too far from your device) while playing any type of media (RUclips, TuneIn Radio app, Spotify, Disney+, Amazon Prime, Cloud Music App, etc) whether I'm holding my device or if my device is on the table a foot or two away. I don't have another or different manufacturer device to test this but my Tranya T10 DOES NOT exhibit this behavior on these same devices.
3. At the highest volume, the treble or high pitched voices is waaay too bright/high.
4. Mics are, at best, decent. Barely blocks surrounding/environment noise and can be clearly heard.
5. The three modes (ANC, Ambient Mode, Normal) are barely indistinguishable when switching between these modes. Low Latency Mode is also not noticable BUT there is NOT any delay with audio and video, at least not on RUclips, Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime with Low Latency turned off.
1. Agreed. This is something they need to work on.
2. I do not have this issue with mine. You may want to exchange them.
3. This depends on the listener. I don't mind the added clarity. Especially considering most TWS on the market lack treble and are overly bass boosted.
4. Agreed. Gotta spend well above $100 for improved mic quality. This is why I don't recommend budget TWS for calls.
5. This depends on good of a seal you get. Unfortunately the ANC isn't the strongest and they lack passive noise isolation. Memory foam tips go a long way to remedy this and should have been included. LL mode is less for video and more for gaming. With COD and Fortnite the difference is small but noticeable.

I'm looking for good ANC and wondering if the Soundpeats T2s will work for me. I had the Tozo NC9s and they hurt my ears pretty fast. Do you find the T2s any smaller or better angled than the NC9s or do I have to just keep on looking. It's just so hard to judge this on the videos. Love your videos Jeff - always clear and useful information, and you have a very soothing voice.
The T2 are definitely smaller but not by much. The EFP are much smaller.

There must be one for me - good sound, bright trebles, balanced bass to not overwhelm, strong ANC, comfortable fit for long wearing and even sleeping. Listen to Queen, LZ, vocals like Home Free, folk, and classical. I'm disabled, don't get out much, just want to shut out neighbors. no worry over issues of working out, getting wet, phone calls. Is good sound with wide stage, strong ANC and good fit even possible? I so appreciate your help Jeff.

The real question tho, do the T2's blink when they're in your ears? Soundpeats are notorious for this. Looks-wise, I much better prefer the T2's but ughh... only available in stock from April 21st on Amazon Germany.
They do not blink while in use. Only when pairing. It is a dim white LED that stays lit while they are in your ears. The LED points in a downward direction instead of outwards. Not really noticeable at all.

ANC is definitely more important than "ambient" sound. I want earbuds to block out the outside world; if I want to hear things around me, I'll just pop out a bud!
Ambient mode all day that way I don't have to take the earbuds out to hear better also on the earfun when you pull the eartip off is the tip a circle or a oval shape like the 1more anc because so far oval one's never get a seal in my ears please and thank you also great review man.
Oval shape. They aren't supposed to go in deep and sit outside.
This is why I use my own round eartips with all my TWS and IEMs. The Earfun have a slight oval. Not as bad as 1More. Pick up a set of the SpinFit tips and go from there. I left a link in the video description of the ones that fit both the Earfun and Soundpeats.

Went out to purchase the Earfun Free Pro due to the sound quality (based on your recommendation). Had them about a month now and wondering what would you recommend (should I have extra cash) my upgrade purchase would be based on current market offerings.

7:22 seems like the review unit earfun logo is upside down on the left bud. Is it only on a particular batch?
As far as I know they are all like that. Not really a problem for me since I can't see them while wearing them.

if you are wondering why there is a big difference between 28 decibels and 30 decibels. Decibels are not calculated like normal numbers. I am not an expert at this but heres an example these are not actual values but the logic is the same as far as I know.
lets say 1 dB is 1 if this is the case 2 dB = 4, 3 dB = 16, 4 dB = 64 etc etc. as you can see the difference between 3 dB and 4dB is MUCH greater than the difference between 1dB and 2 dB. As the numbers go higher so does the difference between each one thats why even tho you might think there are almost no differences between 28 dB and 30dB there is actually a big difference
also heres my answer to the question of the day: ANC is muucchh more important for me. I love isolating myself from everything else around me but I cant also really use it when I am around people since I cant fucking hear them even with the ANC off. ambient mode is what I mostly use especially in my home since everybody gets angry at me because I cant hear them while listening to music but this still doesnt mean I like ambient mode. Its a need not a choise and if it was up to me I wouldnt turn off ANC once. So yeah I need an earphone with both ANC and Ambient/Transparent mode but ANC is more important

I use ambient sound more than ANC. Especially in the world we live today. I am looking for a pair with just 3 things : decent battery life (5 odd hours is fine), APTX and absolute uncompromising microphone performance. Which ones do you suggest? I don't necessarily have a set budget but I'd like to see options.
None offer all 3 requirements. Also, expecting “Absolute uncompromising mic performance” from true wireless earbuds is setting yourself up for disappointment. You should curb your expectations here.
If you drop the aptX requirement, the the Apple AirPods Pro or Jabra Elite 85t can give you most of what you are looking for. Those two offer the best microphone experience I’ve tested so far. Other options with lesser mic performance include Sennheiser Momentum 2, Galaxy Buds Pro, and Sony SP800N.
