I'm so happy with you Norwegians. You have Elisabeth Andreassen (who sings high notes at the Eurovision Song Contest), and the best Winter Olympians. Jeg elsker deg, NORGE! From the Philippines.
@scarothcanada don't remember anymore but how I just read: at the large hill team competition the japanese team was far ahead before their last jump - Masahiko Harada needed only 105m for his team to win. So Jens Weissflog congratulated Harada at the ramp before his last jump. Harada lost his nerves and jumped only 97,5m: the german team won. So the norwegian audience meant that W. had the intention to irritate Harada and booed Weissflog at every jump he did after that.
1994 var året over alle år!
The reason was that he thought that Japan could win in the team event, so he congrats them before Harada jumped. Harada jumped too short so instead Germany won the gold medal. The audience had whistled on Weissflog during the training in the 90 meter hill, so he showed them the long finger. He did not get support for that.
@scarothcanada but in my opinion: the audience was very unhappy because Weissflog won the large hill competition against their national hero Espen Bredesen two days before the team competition and so that was a good reason for them to irritate J. Weissflog by booing him and finally that worked ^^ (Bredesen won the normal hill competition, Weissflog only 4th place). I know the norwegians as always fair sportsmen and an always fair audience but it was in Norway and their Bredesen ;P
Fantastisk video!! En av de beste på youtube... I hvertfall for oss Nordmenn!

I could be wrong , but wasnt Espen second jump Lillehammer k90 HR that's still stands till today? 106m I think
107,5 is the new record.
Karl Geiger set it in 2013 during a mixed ski jump event in Lillehammer.
why was weissflog so pissed?
The reason was that he thought that Japan could win in the team event, so he congrats them before Harada jumped.
