Thomas Alsgaard's amazing technique + Norway's wax advantage at this time made this race look like an "easy" win. And don't forget that all the cheering from the home crowd did surely help as well. Haters gonna hate.
Those losers who cry about doping - look at Thomas now, he is 52, great physical conditions. Happy husband and dad of 2 lovely daughters. Achieved everything! Haters gonna hate, potatoes gonna potate
Ruben Alsaker I know what Daehlie's Vo2max was. What does that have to do with his high blood values, bordering 18? Take a look at this Swedish documentary on RUclips: "Uppdrag granskning del 6, februari 2013. Skidåkarnas höga blodvärden." You'd be hard pressed to find a clean athlete that was at or near the top in that era. Majority of the top 30 or more, were suspicious.
+davd1986 Hahaha!! That documentary was pretty much nothing else but bullshit. Where are you from? Do have any knowledge of norwegian ski traditions, culture and history? Let`s be frank here: I know of three "incidents" of norwegian skiers ever having "problems" with blood values or "doping". Sylfest Glimsdal, a quite know biathlon athlete tested positve for testosteron in the 90`s. His A-sample was positive, but his B-sample was not. Had EXTREMELY high natural production of testosteron, so he got cleared, by both his doctors, national team doctors and by the laboratory. Second was Frode Estil, who at one time during the early 00`s had a little high blood value. He had been on high altitude training in Seiser Alm for about two weeks, and got a quarantine. Was later checked numerous times, and was found totally clear. The third incident was not really known, but it belonged to the skier Kristen Skjeldal. On a press conferance held by the norwegian team, the national doctors who was working for the team, presented the highest blood values of the norwegian skiers taken during the 1990`s. The highest number was 17,4, if I`m not mistaken, and belonged to Kristen Skjeldal. Again, taken after a long traing camp at high altitude in Seiser Alm. Now, In the early 90`s, Norway invented new ski structures. They were far better than ANYONE! And up until early 00`s, they were totally superior on that matter. And, don`t forget Norway`s horrible results from 87-90. Norway invested A LOT of money to be better prepared for the olympics to come in Lillehammer. I`m pretty sure there has never been a bigger investment for any other national team in history. Millions of norwegian kroner was invested and still are the basis of todays system. From recruits to olympic athlete. I have been involved in norwegian skiing from 86, as a waxer, trainer, coach, athlete, etc... I know the system pretty well, from recruit level to pretty much olympic level. I am pretty sure when I say there was nothing "fishy" during that period, or even today. We have a totally transparent system, where pretty much anyone can see everything if you look hard enough. So, next worry?

The greatest skier of all time!
En av Norges råeste OL-renn ❤🇧🇻
The best man ewer . Og kommentarene også . I motsetning til i dag ? 🎉
Grattis Norge!

Passing the torch from one great to another at 4:23-nice video!

Haters gonna hate.
Haters can only bite their nails and elbows:) nothing they can do about the glory and achievements of the greatest skier Thomas Alsgaard:)

The red threat have never been more dominating.
Good times !!
Takk for alt
90-tallets Petter Northug
Average speed 25 km/h!
den gangen .savn. nå er vi her. internet killing the sosiaty.
alsgaard sounds just like beavis or butthead at the end there
and he has a butt-cheek (head)
Me only thinking about his number😏
I'd like to see the blood values of the top 10 in this race. I bet you'd see some high numbers.
Bet you'd like to see Bjørn's o2max as well.. One of the highest in the world. Held the record form several years

Innocent untill proven guilty. suspicion is not evidence

Hei
Komplett överraskning. Först tänkte att han var dopet då.
Gjennomdopa som Dæhlie og Koss!
🤡🤡🤡
Normen dopa på der. Plasma expansion+EPO!
😂
Tough courses and much blood doping going on at this time. Enough said.
