  • This video shows a proof of concept that will be turned into a full game.
    The idea is that you can manipulate objects by holding and releasing them. The objects are part of the simulation also while being held, and that was the hardest part. To have the feeling of responsive control, while not breaking Unity physics engine.
    The final game should have connected rooms, and no inventory. Want to switch weapons? Just drop one on the ground and pick up another. If the enemy has an energy barrier, throw the weapon at it. The same iron bar you use to connect a circuit can do damage and destroy stuff.
    The final game should be an adventure game, with elements of twin sticker shooter, puzzle and immersive sim. Complexity arises from the properties of the objects itself, without the need of inventory, XP building or any permanent upgrades.
    This game takes some inspiration from the legendary Adventure for Atari 2600, with the fact that you can manipulate one item at a time and the universe is fully simulated.
