When I heard for the first time this track, as a great Sepultura fan, I started to smile. They have done a great job making this album sperimenting new genres, Derrick's voice sounds good, the drums is amazing, and the quality is incredible. In particular this track is one of the best made by Sepultura in all of their story in my opinion. Can't wait the release of the new album!

Their best best of the best from Derrick, thats for sure !!!!! His best voice ever !!!!!! The Addition of Casa Grande presence at the Drumming was a real good statement for the band. Is the best addition ever !!!!!
I think they have finally got over max period and influences, this is one great song. Dont't get me wrong, i'm a fan of cavalera as well(soulfly and cc), but sepultura has done a great job with this(and i like a-lex as well). Waiting for the entire album now.
If you hav not de original former member of the band, they must re named it, and not keeping using the same name Sepultura. The essence of Sepultura were Cavaleras's brothers. For me, Sepultura has ended, since Max left the band, This is my humble opinion.

What a great song and amazing video!! The lyrics are awesome and Derrick is better than ever. For sure Max widows won't agreed. I'm a huge fan of old Sepultura as well but Max is singing live like a shit nowadays. And musically Sepultura has always been creative and delivered great albuns with this new formation since Roorback. Dante XXI, A-Lex, Kairos and Mediator are fucking good. And those two songs they've launched already from Machine Messiah show that we'll have another great album coming out. Who says they're dead is completely wron imo. I've been to their concert few months ago and they are still killing. Eloy is one the best drummers in the world and easy to see that in this album his gonna add even more to Sepultura's musica! O Sepultura tá muito pesadão e insano neste disco. A mixagem e a produção ficaram excelentes e no futuro tomara que a banda continue a trabalhar com o produtor Jens Bogren. Esse disco é o melhor com o Derrick.

Pra mim com a entrada do Eloy no Sepultura era o que a banda precisava, levantou a banda. O Igor parace que tava sem vontade de tocar. Os dois albuns com o Jean são muito bacanas, mas parecia que ainda tinha algo faltando. Gosto do Sepultura tanto da era Max quanto da formação atual, tenho todos os cds. Mas esse Machine Messiah... PUTA QUE PARIU de album FODA doido! Pena que ainda tem muitas viuvas dos Cavalera que ainda estão presos no passado, não sabem curtir a banda atualmente. Sepultura foi a primeira banda de metal que eu ouvi, e pra mim é uma das melhores.

I dunno about "better than ever" because... Arise, Schizophrenia, Beneath the Remains, etc have some of the most classic metal everrrrr written on them. That being said I love this album and Dante XXI, and Roorback and Kairos aren't too shabby either!

Derrick Green mostra sua força nos vocais, e versatilidade o que é melhor, num vozeirão bem cool. Os arranjos estão perfeitos, criativos. Nota 10 pra esse novo trabalho! Adorei o final do videoclipe com o cristo redentor revelando sua verdadeira face. "Machine Messiah" marca definitivamente uma nova fase para o Sepultura.

was turned on to Sepultura in '80's ,loved the vocals & tribal style drums of Igor , back then bass was bass & thrashing was thrashing, blah blah, but I gotta hand it to Paulo & Andreas, they do continue to evolve & stay the backbone, a fan of the whole catalog, guess I'm just a true hard core fan

Heatd two songs now and its amazing, Ive never been able to get into them since max left, not because he did but just could't get in to the music or new singer back then. This is got to be there best so far, tight, and Derrick's vocals are very good.

O Sepultura tá muito pesadão e insano neste disco. A mixagem e a produção ficaram excelentes e no futuro tomara que a banda continue a trabalhar com o produtor Jens Bogren. Esse disco é o melhor com o Derrick.

He had big shoes to fill. I think if Max ever wanted to comeback that the band should refuse and not let Derrick go. Hes earned my respect along time ago when against came out. Yeah they could of went on to make roots part 2 or make all this trendy shit. But they didnt. They made theyre own sound. I love it. Much love to all of you guys in Sepultura. Past or present memebers. You all brought light to my dark childhood. You all were my escape. Siempre fiel!!!

I dunno about "better than ever" because... Arise, Schizophrenia, Beneath the Remains, etc have some of the most classic metal everrrrr written on them. That being said I love this album and Dante XXI, and Roorback and Kairos aren't too shabby either!

Os arranjos estão perfeitos, criativos. Nota 10 pra esse novo trabalho! Adorei o final do videoclipe com o cristo redentor revelando sua verdadeira face.

was turned on to Sepultura in '80's ,loved the vocals & tribal style drums of Igor , back then bass was bass & thrashing was thrashing, blah blah, but I gotta hand it to Paulo & Andreas, they do continue to evolve & stay the backbone, a fan of the whole catalog, guess I'm just a true hard core fan

It's a shame that most Sepultura fans live in the past and cant get over the fact that Max and now, Igor hve left the band. It's like watching someone crying over their ex they broke up with 10+ years ago. Sure was good times, but it's time to move on. This is btw a great track. Havn't atched up with Sepultura since "Dante".

Why the fuck is there no public outcry at a band like Napalm Death who have also gone through similar extreme lineup changes since their classic material? Why do I hear and read UBIQUITOUS outcry about Sepultura "not being real anymore" when BOTH bands have released material that's at least comparable to their classic stuff?
It's because of the combination of it being boring and Max being gone right? That's still not ok, because it's fucking massively insulting to say that a band that is still half members that have BASICALLY fucking been in the band since the beginning isn't "the real band anymore" or "the name means NOTHING." That's such a cunting insipid stretch. And there's WAY worse examples of a lineup change being a detriment to a bands musical sound than this one....

Nossa, eu tento achar o motivo de tanto hate pra cima do Derrick ! Eu juro que tento, mas eu realmente gosto dos vocais dele hahaha. A melodia ta foda, o ritmo quebrado, groovado, ta legal pra caramba, menos Trash, mais Nu metal (sem nada pejorativo aqui), o timbre do Andreas muito bom também. Duas músicas muito diferentes, Phanton Self e I am the enemy, fiquei mais interessado ainda pra ouvir esse novo album !
