    I'm hoping to build one or find a rolling chassis. But this is exactly what was in my head too. Perfect crosskart. Also, I'd be willing to pay for the plans. Even if you'd be willing to just do plans for this design, it looks good enough for what i'd use it for anyways. Just something to go down trails or gravel backroads. I want to find a used or wrecked Raptor 660 or 700 for the donor engine. I don't really want to just use a street bike engine and sacrifice having reverse.

  • @wallflower15875
    @wallflower15875 Год назад

    You should definitely build or at least design an electric version of this with a 100v 50kw (67hp) system. That thing would rip. Also would eliminate the need for a transmission and clutch, simplifying the design. I would use a 50kw ME1616 liquid cooled motor utilizing the existing radiator, and mount a controller just behind the seat. You could put a 100v 200ah-300ah modular battery setup located both above the motor where the fuel tank would sit, grouped and wired in parallel to corresponding smaller groups beside the drivers seat and in front of the steering column. Perhaps if the center of mass were to be too high mounting above the motor, it could be mounted vertically behind the drivers seat or underneath the motor with a drive shaft to counteract the potential downsides of a longer chain, or potentially behind the motor where the exhaust pipe sits on this model. Making an electric version would offer a quiet and lower maintenece model with increased acceleration and a higher power to weight ratio, considering the full electric setup would weigh less than just the fuel tank and transmission alone on the current model. See the Sierra Echo electric crosskart for roughly the concept I'm describing.
