Actually, Anzu is the polar opposite of Hina, and she's a goog girl from the start, while Hina on the other hand is more of a laid back and somewhat air headed, it's cause by her being used by the organization from where she came from and only do some work when instructed. Though, Anzu had gained experience when she can't go back home, realizing the realities of society, which made her more kind hearted. If you watched the series, she cried as she parted ways from the homeless people when the restaurant owners take responsibility of her, while they're eating she remembered the first people who took care of him of what they eat since they where moved out from their temporary based in the park.
No. Anzu, was not a good girl from the start. You can literally see it when her character was introduced. She only became a good girl and learn about proper behaviour after having to go through poverty and homelessness. If she did not live in poverty and went through the same living condition as Hina, I guarantee she will be a horrible person.
It's skipped in the anime, but in the manga, she actually steals stuff to survive at first as she doesn't understand the morality of doing so, and she starts getting chased by everyone from the commercial district, that's where she met the homeless guy, he saves her when she was being chased and teaches what she's doing is bad and eventually how to live in the streets. Also, Nitta feels bad for her situation and gives her quite a lot of money, which makes her extremely happy, but that's short lived as she's caught by the district people and forced to pay for everything she had stolen until now leaving her with nothing again.
It's the only serie in my whole life where they were able to make me cry and laugh wholeheartedly in a same episode and it didn't happen only once which I find truly impressive.
Hinamatsuri and Binbougami Ga are those few gems you find digging thru the late 2010s seasonal anime piles. I swear this show had me laughing nonstop, but damn does it nails the feels too.
I wish that kinda kid was real in our world. I am working as an administration officer at an elementary school, and each day that I spent there has surely developed my pedophobia (fear or prejudice towards children).
