It's a great subversion of the trope where a character shouts at someone to not go. What would be otherwise simply a cliche touching scene in any other anime gets subverted into something funny, almost like the author is poking fun at the cliche. You would think Nitta is merely concerned for her safety, but what really motivates him to go after her was to call her out for being disrespectful. It's still touching, and he does care, but the author really knows how to write a good comedy. The author knows how to write great characters in general.
This video was what got me into this anime. I thought it was a touching story about this girl having supernatural powers and always being used till she found this kind man, who treats her as family. lol
