I LOVED the original because I stumbled onto it without having heard a thing about it beforehand, so it was a rare hidden gem. Then with Apocalypse, I was totally stoked for it and then it was shite. It felt like it had nothing of the originality of the first one. And I get that its a sequel, it just felt like an unnecessary sequel to me. Great review guys!
@@BloodbathAndBeyond The first one was paced perfectly and it was from a different angle and the gaseous thing was simple but nobody'd done it before. I don't get it. It's the same director. Basically the same cast. But as you said, its a totally different vibe, which makes you wonder if the first one was an accident?
Sure, they planned for it but we didn't expect it to actually come out. It seemed like it was in talks for years then there were rumors it was a tv show at some point.
If so, I'll probably lose interest before it comes out. It seemed like this was in the works for so long as I've been following Bianca on IG since the first movie came out. I will watch it for sure but hope it focuses on the cool stuff!

Glad you felt the same about both! I wasn't sure if we were just being harsh or not, and maybe we were a bit, but the tone is so different.

Zombies with breathe of engine. Good thing, zombified Brooke and Barry survived the explosion in post credit scene.
I hope we get more of Brooke and Barry in another movie.
