Oh man, this is great cause when head rping a new character and choosing a class I come back to these and the class videos anyway or just to rewatch haha.
Did i miss it or did he exclude Thessarian from the DK list? Also, great video. Loved the descriptions and revealing the lore behind some characters i haven't even heard of. I'm looking forward to a Druid and shaman list. Although those might also be short, because there aren't too many known druids and shamans to my knowledge, but maybe I'm wrong. Demon Hunters and Monks, i imagine should be impossible. For DH"s we have what, Illidan and his followers. Doesn't make much of a list. For monks the most known one is Taran Zhu. Can't think of anyone else. But I'm looking forward to it. You can probably do a better job than me
I feel like Sir Zeliek should’ve been #1 on Paladin list. Even tho we killed him in Classic, in lore his faith in light was so strong that even as undead light still answered his call. He is only known undead paladin or death knight who used light. Since paladin strength comes from faith and devotion to light i think Sir Zeliek deserved that number 1 place. If he wielded Ashbringer he would’ve been unstoppable probably.
I'd rank him highly but in terms of sheer faith and willpower I wouldn't put him higher than Bolvar, as Bolvar was able to resist even becoming a Death Knight in the first place only doing so by sacrificing himself. Zeliek was able to maintain his consciousness and still connected with the Light but ultimately he still served the Scourge. Bolvar did not.
@@dfcd1432 depends on perspective i guess, maybe im wrong but i think only reason why Bolvar remained in control was due to preservation magic when dragons burned wrath gate. If red dragonflight hadnt burned him he wouldve been dominated by Lich King easily. If you look at from perspective of resisting being dominated then Bolvar should be ranked higher than Tirion cause even Tirion wouldve fallen to domination magic, but from perspective of who should be rated higher as paladin its Tirion. In same way i feel Zeliek also tops Bolvar even tho he served Kelthuzad in the end.
That's amazing. 2 hours of a list of characters for blizzard to possibly ruin them 😂 let's hope with Chris Metzen back we don't have characters having their lore butchered like Sylvanas
Pretty sure Kael'thas and (almost) Illidan were butchered back when he was running things. People were also pretty upset about the Draenei change as well. Let's not act like Metzen is some savior.
I don’t know if alexandros should count as a death knight as he spent very little time as a DK compared to his time as a Paladin. Also consider that a lot of his strength probably came from the light and an uncorrupted ashbringer.
Sylvanas is pretty much still a Hunter, her super broken new race powers just add to that. The powers she got from a Death God are a thing on their own and on the same level as Arthas who relied on Frostmourne or Night Warrior Tyrande with the borrowed power of Elune.
According to Lore, he was given Visions and became a prophet while he was still a mage. Tyrande originally used a Bow, then used the Glaive when became night Warrior; and Illidan was originally an Arcane Mage
@Doronsmovies * Imagine not including Thalyssra in top 5 mages * Imagine not including Genn Greymane in top.. 2 of rogues alongside Lord Ravenholdt * Imagine putting Lilian Voss in top 10 at all.. (bruh, she was almost killed with ease by Gandling) * Medivh has never been a warlock. He was a highly intelligent archmage always trying to learn how the things work in a more self-directed way - consuming knowledge and power with the intent to practice control over it for the greater good. The fact he's happened to also use fel magic as well doesn't make him a warlock at all. Same goes for Kael'thas - he's just a hungry blackhole for magic - he will eat $Нit as long as it's magical, and he barely used fel compared to Medivh which doesn't make Kael a warlock either.
It would be intresting to se a list of the most powerful class relative to eachother in the lore. The number 1 class is easily gonna be the DK and i dont think many ppl would argue against that but just how far above the rest would they be.
9th seems way too low for Liadrin, she destroyed a Pit Lord in WoD which by itself is a bigger feat than most of the other paladins. She's been in a ton of campaigns and dueled the Deathlord and her faith called the Light to expell the Death Knights from Light's Hope (The Light responds to faith, it doesn't act on it's own). If you go by the Legion cutscenes, she was also the canon wielder of the Ashbringer. She has more feats than characters like Bolvar/Yrel/Maraad.
I will not argue if she should be higher or not, but defeating a pit lord nowadays is kind of... an easy feat. I mean everyone destroyed legions of demons in Legion so... thats kinda of problematic to see if it still is relevant in any way, saddly. She lose and badly against the deathlord, and the only reason Light was so strong that it was menacing to kill the entire troop of deathknights is because the battle was in Light's hope chapel, and we already see that it is a real threat even to the Lich King himself. It's basically a deus ex machina that protect this place from the undeads as long as you have a powerful paladin somewhere, which she definitely is, but we are trying to compare the strongests of the strongests. For the artifact side of things, I'm still bothered to this day because nothing is exactly clear. Like, Eitrigg was the wielder of Strom'kar? Seems very... unexpected, because Eitrigg isn't shown as an especially incredible warrior and has always been more a fury style than an arm one. Their is very weird combinations of artifacts and characters (the monk one is supposed to be a brewmaster but wield the mistweaver weapon or Vargoth being the wielder of the mage artifact when most of the mage campaign is about stopping him) and the real pain in the ass here is that it is not really stated anywhere. There is also things that are weird for any perspective, like Kor'vas being the Illidari champion, when we actually see her in Legion and she just act totally normal, without any kind of incredible feat. For her ranking, Lothraxion, Bolvar and Maraad are really hard to rank because they never had much time and didn't have any way to actually face something that could prove their power. About Yrel unfortunately she was a mary-sue in Draenor going to never killing someone to exarch of a race where people with more than 25 000 years of experience exists and finally being one of the major actors of Archimonde defeat. Hard to really calculate how stupid she has gone through this time... Especially when it seems that she is more dangerous as a Lightbound. Well, maybe in the future we will see Garrosh Hellscream alternate Lightbound version being rank as one of the ten strongest paladins.
I know Illidan is the epithome of Demon hunters, but since DH tier isn't in the video, and before W3 events Illidan was considered a powerfull warlock, would he made it on the list and if so what would be his position?
I wish demon hunters had any lore prevalence past their order hall campaign in Legion. Unfortunate that there’s probably barely 10 named demon hunters and most of them are just quest npcs with no importance
I feel that the cross between mage and warlock are too blurry. Like Kael’thas and Medivh are definitely more akin to mages than warlocks. Tyralion got his sword blocked by Illiadan's hand, Tirion broke frostmourne, yes he had the ashbringer, but that makes him more powerful in my opinion. Also the WCIII Arthas v Illiadan fight has been retconned many times, first Illiadan died right then and there, then he barely survived, then they where equal, arthas outsmarted him, then illiadan was cockly and that's why arthas won, but i dont think you can argue that Illiadan is more powerful than arthas, when us the player beat illiadan and then we got KILLED by arthas, the only other raid boss who KILLED the players in lore is a Titan, see what im on about? Also Tessarian not being in the DK's list? oookay.
You're reaching a bit too much regarding LK power. We've beaten far stronger bosses than Arthas and they didn't kill us during their fight, does that make them weaker than him? Using Argus as some kind of comparison is irrelevant IMO.
Arthas was in the end defeaed by the direct intervention of a cosmic force that destroyed his cheat blade. This said: it's mainly about this blade. Pretty much every death knight or person overall could be extremely powerful with it, especially when they don't care to feed it souls. Arthas without this blade would be much, much, much, much weaker and limited by his own power, while Frostmourne seems to be borderline limitless in potential growth, as long as there are souls you can feed it.
