  • Jamie and I trekked around the Annapurna circuit starting towards the end of February 2022. This is part one of our trek from Bhulbhule to Manang.
The weather started lovely and got very cold as we ascended to Thorang la Pass.
Our tour guide and porter were beyond incredible, and it was an unforgettable experience.

Great video. I've done this trek twice. First in 2017, and again in 2019. I had to stop the video and go back when you reached Tal! I can't believe the damage there! It is one of my favorite villages along the way and was so beautiful! I really can't believe the damage! Thanks for sharing

It was super sad to see the damage. They have begun rebuilding so hopefully they are able to recover soon

Gives me major flashbacks to when my boyfriend and I did the trek in 2018. Nice to see that some of the bridges still are in the same shape we encountered them in a few years ago :D I still remember the Nepali guys singing "Dal Bhat Power" all day long... Really a journey that changed the way I think about a lot of things. Looking forward to watch the next videos right now, thanks for the good work! ;)

Hey, loved the video! May I ask whether you took the alternative trails or stayed on the jeep roads? I've read that now only 32KM ( manang - Muktinath) of the original 170 or so, is left as the only part that isn't on jeep roads, where the rest is all on roads where buses and jeeps pass by you all the time which would make for a very dusty and noisy hike.. Would love to hear about your experience!

We still walked a lot along the jeep roads but it was still amazing.

Along the way most teahouses had power, however the ones higher up such as at Thorong Phedi had no power.

there are videos/ travel guides that says trekking the circuit is now a lot of road instead of actual trekking. So how was the experience for you guys?
    great content btw!

Thanks for your comment. The first 3 days were mostly on a dirt road and could definitely be skipped if you are short on time then I would recommend starting at Dharapani or Chame. Also after Mukinath you could definitely end the trek if you wanted to.
