I just saw them too. In buffalo. With circle jerks. 7 seconds had covid so weren't there. I thought it was funny that during negative approaches set all these young kids were floor punching and doing tough guy moves... I was like WTF! Lol then during circle jerks a tiny little Hispanic kid attacked a 6' 6" old Nazi skinhead because he noticed an SS tattoo behind his ear. Kieth Morris was in the middle of a long rant about being 66 years old and didn't even stop. Finally when the entire place was about to tear the skinhead apart Kieth Morris ( I believe unwittingly) says , this next songs called "WHEN THE SHIT HITS THE FAN!" Lol chaos broke out and everyone was circle pitting and as they came around were hitting the Nazi! Hahaha it was fucking nuts. The dude would have probably gotten murdered if it wasn't for 4-5 security guys tackling his and pulling him out of the venue.
I just saw them in Phoenix. They opened for the Circle Jerks. I was blown away how good they were. It was a good crowd and the pit was very active. Total chaos!
Here is a review I wrote on Allmusic July 8, 2019 5 Stars Negative Approach released their legendary long-player, Tied Down in 1983 on the infamous Touch And Go label. This album is a clear indication of why Negative Approach is in the conversation for the best Hardcore band out of the Midwest. The LP is full of surging anthems with a crisp sound and angry rage. An absolute classic.
Saw Negative Approach, Get Dead, Circle Jerks & NoFX on their farewell tour yesterday. Moshpit ranged from stage to front of house. I wish I could keep those bruises forever.
Im so excited to see in a month! Have an og vinyl of tied down. Possibly would rather see Brannon doing Laughing Hyenas again but def an opportunity not to miss!
I'm a tourist here, pretty sure that's considered a classic but what's the pinnacle of US punk for you then? Genuinely asking, I know like 5 bands and intend to get deeper.
Just saw them live, meanest show I've ever seen and Brannon's energy is as intense as ever.

People who use the word punk are embarrassing to rock and roll
People who only listen to grandpa's rock'n'roll are embarassments to punk
