May I ask pls was Adm Raymund Spruance who cammanded the victorious American fleet which won the battle of Midway given an award after the naval victory?
Good picture which shows the drama of the Battle, which was definitelñy a turning point in the Pacific. After that, the japanese never attaked again, only defended.
I thought this movie was excellent, very exciting and quite accurate. Caption for the Japanese would have been great, however, I think it important to have dialogue in these movies in original languages for authenticity....so be it.
Buena película, me pregunto si Richard Best era en realidad tan arriesgado para volar como se ve en la película. Sin embargo, colocó dos bombas en dos portaviones ese día, lo cual contribuyó grandemente a la victoria estadounidense en esa batalla.
57:32 on May 8th 1942 at the Coral Sea South Pacific USS Hornet is sunk but USS York is badly damaged but afloat when USS Enterprise has arrived at the rendezvous it is too late and Admiral Halsey is really angry at the Japanese
My mother was cleaning the front windows of our home that Sunday when one of our lady neighbors ran up to her yelling. "The Japanese have attacked Pear harbor!" They knew where Pearl Harbor was. Five hours difference. From Toronto.
The guys who asked for a cigarette before being tied and tossed into the sea to drown had a beautiful death and crazy thing is it did happen in real life! 😢
They couldn't, thebomb hit it in the place where it would cause the mostr damage, and alhough the Japanese tried to salvage her, their losses woud probably have been higher, and they believed the Americans had four intact Carriers, not two, due to a codification error in the message of one their observer planes.
Yanks will always be yanks. Japs are good Japs now (no offense at all to our Japanese friends). Yet there are still no short supplies of bad ones nowadays if not more than during the time of what this wonderful movie tells us. Who knows what happens next.
57:01 bit of a silly plot line when you consider a man who just bombed civilian areas of Tokyo is acting so shocked and surprised by civilian bombing of China.
The difference is that the US Doolitle bombing actually had industrial targets to bomb this early in the war (Japan was not bombed before 1942). These Japanese planes were bombing a rural village at most, rather silly to do so rather than actual urban centers like Chongqing. I think its even more silly that these planes were bombing Japanese occupied territory.
@@artificialintelligence8328 that’s fair, though the line between Japanese and Chinese territory in that war was very thin, not a very stable or continuous frontline
Mmm was the Doolittle raid really worth it with 250000 Chinese people killed for those who helped them. I think often the ramifications of acts are not fully thought out
1) they had no idea that would be the cost of the assault. 2) the decision to commit genocide against a population that isn't even that of the target enemy is the real problem here, not the attack that influenced the Japanese to carry it out. That's like saying SA victims had it coming because of what their friends were wearing.
you know they barely did any damage to tokyo but it boosted morale. thats probably why its called the 'doolittle' raid cause they did 'do little' damage lol
The movie is too cool i like it but japan never use bomb and bullet on plane japan use suside bomb it mean they direct susite to ship and the japanese pilot were called kamikaze pilots
That was later in the war, after midway, this movie is based earlier in the war when japan was still gaining territory and the usa were mostly on the defense. The kamikaze were used in the battles when it was evident that japan had lost ww2.
Who started the war with Japan and the USA? For the truth to be told, it was the USA who started it. Members of the US Army Air Corp when to China to fight Japan in the late 1930's. The point is that the USA ftred the first shoot and you will not be told that in school.

I don't know who thought it was clever not to have subtitles when the Japanese are speaking in Japanese. You've got this quality production, but you don't have a clue what the Japanese characters are saying. In my opinion, it's downright stupid.
War meant to be all over the place, there is no such thing as a stable front line. So this movie storyline all over the place might be based on reality.
Movies may tell the historical event more or less but a movie must be a piece of art first and foremost. That's why actors are hired to act...not resurrect. So relax and enjoy ... if you can.
Outstanding movie, thanks for uploading. Its a must watch 😎
I totally enjoyed this movie. Highly recommend it. 🙌🏻💚🇮🇪
Brilliant acting and action. Thanks 👍

THANK YOU SO MUCH
Galante men of the USAF and its allies who fought for freedom and defending their beloved country.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This movie is near perfection.
Only if the upload comes with English translation for the Japanese language.
Absolutely, talk about artistic licence gone wrong
The movie is good and condolences to the American and Japanese who sacrifice for there country
Don't feel at all bad for the imperial Japanese. The average of them are as bad as the worst of the ss.
Excellent movie if you can get it with subtitles..........not that I would suggest a certain bay where capt jack sparrow hangs out

A great movie thanks 👍👍
Pity about the lack of sub titles.
Hes stolen it and put it on here
I do not understand Japanese, so I would have liked to have titles in English of theJapanese Dialogue too. Regards.
THIS MOVIE IS COOL
No subtitles (for the Japanese sections)
Sacrifices his career to fly to save the nation and have a victory over the enemy.
My respect to Richard "Dick" Best
Please add english translation
What happened to the English subtitles
Did the Japanese Officer who ordered the killing of the drowned pilot face war crimes after the war.????
This officier was a shame for 🇯🇵
But he survived ?
There were still 3 years of war
Epic!!!
W movie, historically accurate scenes, (except pearl harbor) thoroughly enjoyed it👍
Why except pearl Harbor??
21:44 Murray: did you know anyone onboard Arizona
Richard "Dick" Best: yeah my roommate from the academy Lieutenant Roy Pearce
57:32 on May 8th 1942 at the Coral Sea South Pacific USS Hornet is sunk but USS York is badly damaged but afloat when USS Enterprise has arrived at the rendezvous it is too late and Admiral Halsey is really angry at the Japanese
This round not Hornet but Lexington.
hey they should put the "free bird" song on here
Subtitle please 😊.
How can you show me about you make more
21:31 the blowtorch team are trying to open up the capsized USS Oklahoma to rescue the survivors
Wow cameramen save 😮😮
The lack of subtitles is a downvote. At least 10 percent of it is in Japanese.
Probably not 10, but still.
Subtitles for the Japanese language would have been nice 😢
"Dick" Best should have been awarded the Medal of Honor, imho.
He was awarded a navy cross, one of the highest award given to a sailor or marine for his actions at Midway.
素晴らしい映画だ😮

The guys who asked for a cigarette before being tied and tossed into the sea to drown had a beautiful death and crazy thing is it did happen in real life! 😢
IRL it was more gruesome.

if the Japanese towed the Akagi back to Japan, they would win the battles in the Philippines. probably win conquering China and the Philippines.

The biggest mistakes of japan
Yes, they took many things for granted, like surprising the Americans as at Pearl Harbor, aand not counting the Americans were on full alert.

Terrible acting. Poor directing. Storyline all over the place. Not really a satisfactory depiction of such an historical event.
