This park is on the Alabama Scenic River Trail at the head of the renowned 12-mile river section extending to Kings Bend Scenic Overlook. This amazing section has rock bluffs, shoals, small rapids, great biodiversity and a multitude of native species vegetation. Paddlers prize this section as do anglers for its excellent sports fishing.
FLFR has transferred its ownership of Taylor Riverside Park to Blount County, at no cost, to be maintained by the County as a public access point to the Locust Fork River at the Highway 26 river crossing.
Taylor Riverside Park provides an important, safe, public access point to the LFR and corrects surface water runoff from the highway that was eroding the stream bank. The park now has a flat parking area, a stone staircase down to the river and a kayak and canoe ramp, 2 picnic tables and soon 2 benches to sit and enjoy the view.
Location: Bridge on CR 26 and Dunn Ln, Blountsville, AL 35031
