I love how out of place Kevin's image is with everyone else's by starting the Kaslana tradition of beating shit up with a bat. Not only is it funny, it actually is pretty sad/great/crazy when thinking seriously because he's just a normal guy going on to take the world because he has to.

The ending part where Elysia looks back and smiles just hits me by alot, she now knows that there are also other herrschers that are fighting for humanity. It's like shes now resting peacefully in heaven having that knowledge.

Everyone's memory is when they were living in their happiest moments , but Eden's one is the moment she died with the dying era and Kevin's one is the start of Honkai , where all his tragic storys began . It's just .... sad :
It honestly felt like I knew the 13 flamechasers for a month. I can't believe this is the end of the ER arc. The ending credit brought tears to my eyes seeing the other's living a normal life (except Eden and Kevin,,my poor babies) before becoming flamechasers. Especially Kalpas looking really happy around the kids despite wearing a mask. And Elysia smiling at the end made me cry harder because it's truly the end of the arc. This is the ending Elysia wanted all of them to have. This is why I love Elysia. I'll truly miss all of them. Now I'll cry more when Kevin or Fu Hua shows up in the present.

The Elysian Realm Arc really highlighted that Flame Chasers were one of the kind not because of their immense raw power against the Honkai, but how Honkai and their way of life before Honkai shaped them into the way they are. Each members are so vastly different from one another in every spectrum possible that you might think they would never work together. But eventually they did. And Elysia is the initial glue to their bond. The glue from the bond got stronger to the point even without Elysia, the members are still together stronger than ever, in their own unique interpretation. With humans typically hate each other from the slightest of differences, the Flamechasers are the best examples of what humans are capable of This animation did justice to Elysian Realm's story. I got emotional at edens, I don’t know why she just seems so happy singing/dancing alone in that area. It feels really relatable being able to enjoy what you do alone in the peace and especially late at night
[musings with few chapter 31 spoilers] Given how this arc ends, I have to wonder how much grief Kevin Kaslana carries that he’s still holding onto his duty with Project STIGMA….that he doesn’t go see the Elysian Realm one last time before it disappears, thinking that he’s let his comrades down by refusing to let go of his lonely crusade for “humanity to defeat the Honkai, no matter the cost” as is the motto of World Serpent. No wonder he’s the icy way he is now. Losing everyone must’ve pained him a lot. Can’t wait to see Kiana, Mei and the rest of the Hyperion squad challenge him to prove that they have what it takes to beat the Final Herrscher! o7
Yeah, I hope he can find peace, especially now that Mei truly understands who he is. There might not be another Elysia, but Elysia paved the path for her successors to continue her story of fighting for humanity.
