Just note that, since the story of the Flame Chasers is very tied to the main plot of HI3, you will probably still be confused about some things without the context of the game. But, hey... it's better than nothing! I still recommend playing HI3 for a better understanding though... and for the game in general because it's soo good!
I'd be down for a Cliff Notes version for HSR fans who have never played and are unlikely to play HI3. Like, I don't have the time to commit to a older gacha like HI3 when there are literally another 3 Gacha games coming soon, on top of HSR, WW, ZZZ, and of course Genshin. Like - who are the Flame Chasers, why are people freaking out over people named Kevin and Elysia and if they are like Welt (who came from HI3 to HSR) or like HSR Himiko. And if Hoyo will somehow tie in the Fate Collab with this HI3 Collab in some insane way - like having these 13 in their new forms fight each other in a Grail War.

For those of you who wish to learn more about the characters, I will be posting future videos that will go in-depth about the lore of each flamechaser. Some friendly feedback on my end: You might wanna change the title of the video, as it can be missleading since- and you said it yourself- the premise of the video is not to be detailed and complete as possible regarding the lore of ER, but rather a simplified "retracking" of the events that have happened in Elysian Realm. Perhaps removing the "Complete Guide" and leave the story recap, because certainly, that is what your video do. Nice video and new suscriber here! =)

Thank you for this, the lore was actually quite confusing for me/ I had to speedrun the chapters last version to get to the new stuff by doing elysian realm runs to stage 5 just to continue the story so I wasn't fully paying attention lol but thanks again!

Good video! In case you skipped er dialogues and are having difficulty revisiting the story, then this is a good summary. However, I still HIGHLY recommend reading the remembrance files as they make the characters a lot easier to understand

Not at all. What I covered in this video is only the tip of the iceberg. If I would have gone into all the ER lore, this video would have been a couple hours long. This is just a condensed version of the necessary information that one might need in order to play Ch29.

I don't know if it's you who does the translation or if it's RUclips who does the translations but you're the first channel I'm looking for and where I find French subtitles with tons of videos on honkai! I'll try working on it the next few days. Usually, I don't really put subtitles because the process is long and with my limited time to work on content, it doesn't really justify the effort. But I might make an exception for this video since it's more information-focused, and I would like for everybody to be able to clearly understand it.

I stopped playing hi3rd after chapter 14, watched chapter 15, and, according to a playlist of hi3rd full letsplay, watching from chapter 16 up to chaper 31 takes 68 HOURS. sorry, I have genshin, hsr and a 9/5 job, it's already enough. So knowing next world in HSR is deeply connected to flamechasers of HI3rd was so...terrifying for me, cos I thought I'd be done with this letsplay viewing in at best 6 months 😅

Please don't think that this is everything ER has to offer. As I said in the description, this video is more of a quick timeline of the events that Mei went though, and it doesn't go in-depth in any of the character's lore. ER has a ton more to offer besides the main story. I'm sorry that you did not enjoy it! But I just want to point out that ER has a lot more to offer in terms of story than what I present here.

As someone who played though the whole main story of ER more than 4 times and read every file on multiple occasions, I respectfully disagree. But I agree on the fact that it's not for everyone and I can see why some people may not like it.

Hii, I have a question. I have a full set Hoh, but I can't complete any level beyond the Shroud level. I'm in chapter 2 of the Elysian Realm story quest and there is 11% progress, do I have to complete it to pass the Finality stage? What should I do? I don't know anything about the Elysian Realm.
And then elysia died as we were told and idk wat hapened they summon elysia for something? The because of you cinematic happens and elysia fights mei Again Also who dies and how the heck fu hua was part of the flame chasers
Elysia's data was deleted by the Herrscher of Corruption. After that, they recreated her using Mei's memories and the data from the 4 crystal flowers she left behind and Eden. The fight between Mei and Elysia happens before the cinematic, not after, and it's not really a fight... more like a sparring session between friends. They never had any ill intent towards each other, just wanted to recreate the banquet that Elysia held 50k years ago. Fu Hua was born 50k years ago in the Previous Era. After the 3rd Honkai Eruption she lost her friends and family and was recruited to MOTH by PE Himeko. Later, she was one of the few survivors of the Tragedy of Binding and become one of the 13 Flamechasers with the rest of surviving MANTISes. After the final battle with HotE on the moon, Fu Hua went into a cryogenic pot and awoken a few thousands years later in the New Era, and eventually she got to met Kiana and the rest of the cast. I will make a Part 2 soon explaining the rest of the Elysian Realm stuff from the main story.
any update for the story in chapter 29? i semi skipped most of the story since its quite boring. It seems the story now is focusing on Elysia and HoC and especially, Vill-V's cooperation
Gotta give it to someone that is able to simplify the nonsensical and overconvoluted shenanigans that the writers of Honkai pull out every once in a while with their (already overconvoluted and nonsesical) story. Thumbs up dude, thumbs up. Good thing also that they are editing, simplifying and even retconing things on their end though.
