Malazan is my favorite dark fantasy, though it’s definitely not a series for everyone. I genuinely cannot think of a darker more grim fantasy world. But Erickson… he’s just got a way of writing that adds so much humor and love behind this dark world. It’s insanely complex and is so rewarding to get through.
I have the Prince Of Thorns but I also want to get started on The Bound And The Broken series. I’m not sure which one to read first. I love dark fantasy but tend to gravitate to more classic fantasy too.
I put the broken empire on my tbr. It's far away but I've made note of it. Darkblade assassin as well, but later. I'm gonna start Until the Last tomorrow, stoked to see how it turns out!
Another episode of interesting in depth reviews. Seems a perfect video to use the electronic whiteboard. Did that style not receive enough positive reviews?
@@tomhunter7672 Thank you! Yea, the comments for those ones were great, but they don’t perform too well. This style here of still fun to make and seems to be more enjoyed
@@Chance.Dillon I typically google artwork and covers for the series I’m discussing, this one was for one of Andy Peloquins series’s “the silent champions” Hope you are well Chance
Broken Empire ❤ You should definitely check out Red Queen's War. Maybe I'll get to We Are The Dead sooner than later. My favourite Dark Fantasy series are First Law and Second Apocalypse (big shocker there I know haha) but an underrated one is Richard Morgan's A Land Fit for Heroes which puts a supernatural horror spin on one classic Fantasy race and a SF one on another...
@@thatsci-firogue I will definitely be reading a lot more of Marks books next year! We are the Dead is good fun, I do have some critiques for it and I wouldn’t put it at the same level as the series you normally go for, but it’s good fun. I do have to get to Second Apocalypse asap

@@Dugrath I’m very interested in hearing your thoughts on Until the Last, and Andy’s books too.
Also, the Queen of Thieves series is on my tbr as well as Darkblade, I'd love to try Andy's books. He sounds like a cool guy, too!
@@middle-earth-ashleigh He’s a very cool guy and I think you could have a lot of fun with Queen of Thieves
