The wagon belonged to my folks, who owned the Antique Carriage Shop in Hot Springs, MT. Dad never was able to restore it, he passed, so I sold it to the owners of the Museum, so glad, as my folks would have loved to know the wagon was beautifully restored, has an awesome home, where it can be enjoyed by many to see! Awesome restoration job & a rare piece of History! 🙌💞💕From: Chet & Deb Robbins
Thank you for your father keeping this treasure even if he passed on before he could restore it. And thank you for this museum getting first dibs on buying this treasure
This must have been so impressive at the time. Even with the cameras fairly close I could not hear anything from this engine. I see why we had to have lights on it all the time because you would not hear this thing coming up on you.
How far along would we be if instead of a mechanical transmission Henry Ford put magnets on Model T flywheels not just for ignition but to power an electric motor that would act like a mechanical transmission. And some other than J.P. Morgan financed Nikola Tesla's work especially Warden Cliff towers
@@klaasj7808 Combustion Engines are produced without pollution? Both mining for lithium produces pollution, but so does the mining for the metals required in combustion engines. Atleast the former doesn't continue to pollute outside of the battery having to be changed out after about 8-10years of use, sometimes 200k miles.
That's awesome, James! Do you have a website about the restoration? I'd be interested in knowing more about the drivetrain components. Beautiful restoration!

That must've been surreal back in the day. No noise! Even with horses you'd have the hooves on the road!
And no paved roads
and bells on the carriage
But there's the magic carpet though.
Great work for all those who contributed. How wonderful to see it "on the road" once again.
This is featured in a very small paper back book of the history of the automobile ...

That is so very, very AWESOME! Congratulations - we know how hard everyone, especially you two, worked on this!

Magnificent!!!

What a sublime craft.
1902 - 2002, 100 yrs. no emissions, what would the world have been like with the electric car evolution instead
Agreed.
Why 2002? 🤔
How far along would we be if instead of a mechanical transmission Henry Ford put magnets on Model T flywheels not just for ignition but to power an electric motor that would act like a mechanical transmission.

It looks like Laurel and Hardy driving.
They're not still doing these Fast and Furious things are they?
Well, it can deliver products for the town all over. And is quiet and steers easily. Use it for business.
The most drawn out exit I have ever seen.
Is it Laurel and Hardy riding in this 1902 Studebaker electric horseless carriage?
What battery technology were they using back then?
OK, Buddy, where’s the fire?
The two guys riding look like Laurel & Hardy.
Is it electric or gas powered? It is so quiet .
