I absolutely love Durango's I have a R/T that looks new. I had a rebuilt motor put in 32.000 Miles ago but the shop lied & put a used engine so the oil pump went out so I have to decide weather to buy a rebuilt motor and have my mechanic put it in or buy a new car. Just had it repainted and reupholstered. Leaning towards motor but your videos make me want to get a new one
I just got my Durango citadel in the bright white and I must say it's amazing I got the 2015 model and it comes with the beats audio system its very very beautiful the ride is awesome I love my citadel
just an FYIer that accoustic glass is not only for sound dampening but its a safety glass in case of a crush it does not desceminate into million little pices, it crushes but does not break apart which is very important if there was something to hit it.
Many thanks for your time showing all the features you have. The Dodge Durango is a very nice vehicle. In my opinion I will take it over the Ford SUV's. It is a pleasure to take vacations. It has plenty of room. The vehicle is very stable. When you get to your destination you feel relaxed. Be sure to get the Max-Care lifetime warranty. It covers over 5,000 parts and gives you rental service and motel/hotel reimbursement. The Max-care is worth the money. All cars now are just computers on wheels.
Mike, good review. I see with the underside back over view, that the Durango uses Aluminum lower front control arms, I think the Grand Cherokee's lower arms are still Cast Iron. The placement for the oil dip stick is terrible, especially for a shorter person, and I thought my Nissan Frontiers dip stick placement was bad. I commend you, for being the only reviewer that does the night reviews showing the lights. If you get the chance, do one on the new Nissan Titan, I can't figure it's tail lights out.
Nice Video Mike. You did a great job and I love my citidel. I live in the Vancouver area with all it's mountains ans I did get the V-6 and am very pleased with the power and fuel efficiency . Great SUV
Great Review, the dual exhaust 3.6 is 295 hp I beleive, but anyways thank you for this review, you saved me about 78 hours of reading a manual, awesome in depth bud!.
@mikescarinfo this review just helped me decide to get this instead of the Kia Sorento! I'm coming home from a year in South Korea(USAF) and I've been subscribed to you for a while and I've been waiting for your in depth look of the 2016 Dodge Durango since I knew it would come out right before I'd leave. Like I said thank you for the much in depth look and I'm more than excited to surprise my wife and daughter when I'm home.
Mike I watch a lot of vehicle reviews and you do the best reviews . Your very thorough with all your reviews. I love your night review of the Durango .........Thanks Mike.......Don Sprouls, Florence AZ.
@ MikeThis is an epic intro...lol. 'Bout time you finally spotlighted the top trim Durango Citadel after years of SXT's and the occasional Limited models. Seriously though, I have a '15 Durango AWD V6 Citadel but I kind of wished I'd waited for a '16 since they have several brand new colors, auto stop/start, and a sport mode option. This is the most underrated 3rd row SUV on the market. A fully optioned V6 Citadel with AWD is still under $50k and has more interior room than an Explorer, Pathfinder, or a Highlander and it out-tows any of the GM triplets (Acadia, Enclave, or Traverse) as well as the Honda Pilot. A fully optioned V8 Hemi Durango Citadel AWD leaves ALL the previously mentioned SUV's in its dust. Great ride quality and near luxury features and options in a Citadel. Hopefully Dodge decides to actively market this vehicle for a change since they kept it around for at least another model year after its rumored demise in 2015.
+J High You are spot on with everything you said. We have been in the market for mid size SUV with a USABLE 3rd row seat. The only two we have found is the Mercedes GL 350/450 and the Durango. Based on price and reliability, the Durango is a clear winner. The new Volvo T6 is great as well but the 3rd row seat is worthless. I'm looking forward to having a Durango. I wish I could find a Citadel with everything I want with a HEMI but I haven't had much luck. I'll settle for the V6 and enjoy the better gas mileage I suppose.
+par ubhi Have you tried building your dream Durango on the Dodge website? You can build one and use the locator if you are in the US. If not, then you are out of luck. BTW.....The Durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee both share their platform DNA with the Mercedes GL.
I have but for 2016, they have the Citadel with V6 only. I don't like some of the exterior features of the R/T and it doesn't come with a tan interior or I would go that route. My 1500 has a HEMI and I love that engine. I really hope they continue making the Durango because nothing else in its class can touch it.
+par ubhi The tan/black interior is my least favorite Durango color combo. My '15 Durango Citadel has the tan frost beige/black interior which looks great. I wish they had a gray interior option which would match most exterior colors of the Durango. You might find a leftover '15 at a reduced dealer price.
+J High We are picking up out 2016 Citadel tomorrow. Got it for 49k out the door with a 10 year bumper to bumper warranty. I am looking forward to getting better gas mileage than the car we just traded in for it and not needing to use premium gas. We plan to keep this SUV in the family for a long time to come.
@ Vanessa Guzman Same engine choices for Limited and Citadel. Gas MPG is the same although the dual exhausts give 295 hp, instead of the single exhaust 290 hp.
The Dodge Durango Citadel transitioned to offering a V6 engine as the standard powertrain starting in the 2014 model year. While earlier Citadel trims, such as the 2011 model, primarily offered V8 options, the 2014 Durango lineup introduced the 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine as the standard option, with the 5.7L HEMI V8 remaining available as an upgrade.
I really thought that all Citadel were V8 5.7L :/ I guess I will have to go with the R/T, when ill have the money (in a long while) since a young guy cut me he ruined my Dodge Durango 2007 I LOVE that fucking truck and can't wait to put my hands one another durango but they are rare in Canada for some reasons...

Good choice :)
Reading the comments, you must have it by now. Your thoughts? I'm in the market now as my 2005 magnum RT got totaled So these really have my eye

+Brandon Kelso Thanks Brandon! I know your family will be glad to see you :)
@ Brandon Kelso
Hopefully your wife won't have a surprise for you after a year in ROK. And by surprise, I mean "Jody got your girl and gone".....lol
+J High... "Jody"? Lol I guess you mean like a" Dear John letter" but nah B I do appreciate the laugh though
in our country the sorento engine is pumped up quickly because actually its suck and its not powerful as the durango is
Nice in depth review as always.
This will be my first SUV I'm pretty excited

@ Vanessa Guzman
Same engine choices for Limited and Citadel. Gas MPG is the same although the dual exhausts give 295 hp, instead of the single exhaust 290 hp.
Nice video . I think this the high line trim. What does it set you back?
All the features, pricing and MSRP are in the description.
now i like this

Germany 2018: Schönes Auto. Werd mir mal einen kaufen dieses Jahr. Hier Kosten die Jungs ca. 40.000Euro.
Schönes Video. Weiter so.
Excellent video!, thank you.
gorgeous view !
Nice video
Its the same as the dodge journey i have the journey but i like how the outside looks on the Durango
They are not the same, my fiancé has the journey and I have the 5.7 v8 citadel big big difference
Sucks that only the R/T is available with the HEMI for 2016, but I guess that's the market, people who want the HEMI going right to the R/T... :(
The early 2000s Durango are way better i dont know what happened. I have 225,000 miles on my durango and its still running like a dream.
GG I have my durango 2004 and still a beast V8 4.7
My 2002 is great. But I do live the advancements made in the newer models. the old durangos were are rugged machines that you can take anywhere.
OMG 1 million options
Saudi Arabia, we have not come full-featured , Bad agent 👎 ، ( Thanks Mike ❤)
i was going to say the same , we didn't have it yet :(
i was about to say the same thing 😓
2014 has the UConnect Apps like I
No it doesn’t

+Moy Martinez No, they are bolted on.
+MikesCarInfo thanks for replying, great video btw..
+Moy Martinez Thanks!
no they are bolted on not supposed to take them off
What year did they change it to v6? I saw a review on a 2011 citadel that had a 5.7 hemi
The Dodge Durango Citadel transitioned to offering a V6 engine as the standard powertrain starting in the 2014 model year. Miran Othman no diesels available in Durangos
My daughter says they messed it up now.
