This is a great series. I'm looking at lighting a small venue (30 to 50 seats) for film screenings, book readings and classical duets, so flexibility is key. Limited to no space for flying trusses, so we're confined to floor, totem or stand-mounted lanterns. These use-cases are not well covered elsewhere. Some very useful ideas here. Thanks, David.

Is anyone making an affordable RGB LED cob that is relatively portable in the spirit of the American DJ Dotz Tpar? Versus buying a system like that would it be better to just buy individual cob par lights and putting them on a stand if wanted to use for a front lighting of a Comedy and Magic Show on a small stage, say 20 wide and 10 ft deep. Have to have them on stands, can't hang them. We do dance numbers and stuff as well so I do want to be able to have color from the front as well as a decent white wash and have very limited budget. About 1k. Will be lighting the back curtain with a few uplights which is not included in that budget... Thoughts? Product advice? Thanks

Maybe look at the GAMMA Starburst Pars - they're not COB, but they look great and meet the price needs. - gammaledvision.com
