  • U.S. Marines with Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 312 conduct flight operations over Naval Air Station Key West, Florida, June 4, 2024 with legacy F/A-18 Hornets. VMFA-312 supported Distributed Aviation Operations Exercise 24, which is designed to distribute command and control of aviation forces across echelons of command, pushing authorities to the lowest levels, while keeping forces moving between airfields and air sites.     I visited Key West once many years ago while on a civilian cruise. Didn't get to see the Air Station but will always remember Key West. Thanks for showing us this part of Key West.

    Good to see a few legacy hornets are still flying today , I was stationed in the very first f-18 squadron VFA-131 Wildcats on the east coast up at NAS Cecil Field fla from 1984-1988 , Sure miss those old war birds and my time in the US Navy AO2 here !

      @@richc.3100VF-211 wasn't at Guadalcanal or Okinawa was it? VMF-224 did both and shot down 115+ Japanese planes.
