Whatever happens Actionkid never ever ever ever leave NYC, I've lived in NYC (a city I've always wanted to be a native in) vicariously through you man.
My favorite part of Brooklyn to be around at whenever I just want to get away from everything & clear my head of negative thoughts. Especially at night.
I ve never heard of DUMBO & I ve been in NYC my whole life. Now I know. That Manhattan Bridge view is famous . I saw it in ONCE UPON A TIME IN AMERICA among others. TY, AK
You guys are killing it on RUclips for me at the moment, planning my first trip to NYC in June and have learnt so much just from you guys and your respective YT channels Thanks from a Londoner!!
Jane's Carousel (formerly Idora Park Merry-Go-Round) is a carved, wooden, 48-horse carousel that was built in 1922 for the Idora Park amusement park in Youngstown, Ohio by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company. (I’m from Youngstown)
That was fun and beautiful with the sunset and thd amazing bridges and educational. Where I live in the Netherlands, in the city of Tilburg, near the Belguim border. We also had a lot of old buildings from industry, and also now one by one they are fixed up and made into public places, like a library or a restaurant etc. I love it, because it kinda looks a bit "raw" but beautiful in it's rawness. Makes me very proud of my cuty, because we don't throw away our historical buildings, we reuse it. Thanks for the video I hope soon you 2 can do video's together again. Love them!😃👍❤
the reason the neighborhood is so great , is because of the magnificent location , and because the buildings are not only strong , but the spaces were big - actually many people were living there long before the 90's , long before the area was mostly yuppyfied and mostly ruined !!
You guys make great tour guides of the city! I've never visited New York but after watching the both of you in your adventures together, I feel like I'm becoming a New York native :-)
Walking streets of DUMBO in 2009 the streets were literally empty. The picture I took back then - empty Washington street, Manhattan bridge with ESB in the middle - still hangs in frame on may wall at home.
Great walk and super narrations along the way! Thank you for sharing this beautiful journey with us! All the best from the west coast of Florida USA!!!
Thank you, this was an excellent video and narration. I am glad you mentioned the ports. I saw ships docked in an old video from 1911, and someone said they are now moved, and I was too embarrassed to say why or where. I am not from the U.S. but I definitely plan to visit some day in this decade.
weird watching this pre-pandemic walk in July 2020. can't help but think about the "bomb" that was going to go off in NYC only a few weeks after this walk.
Hi actionkid Broadway northern end is at new York state route 117, Phelps way, and Albany post road in north of sleepy hollow manor, New York according to Google maps
I like this duo! Tom has great knowledge of Brooklyn. To improve next video, try to move a camera a little bit less around, and invest in a better microphones, there was a lot of background noises and distortions. The video quality is superb though.
I love when Tom is around, he's a wealth of interesting information.
You and Tom are a fantastic team up with cool chemistry! You should have him as a guest more! He’s an encyclopedia of information! Thanks ActionKid!

That Manhattan Bridge shot was also a poster for a movie called "Once upon A Time in America." It came out in 1984 starring Robert DeNiro.
