Don't give up - that's the most important thing.
Thanks for this! İt helped me a lot😊
Really really great lesson!
thanks!!! ...i love it!!
OMG IT WORKS! I can play the left hand! Thankyou!
Thanks for this, much easier to see from this angle than from directly above
thank you for this!
I love this song I taught it to myself all alone at home :) now I play it in the school concert
love the added nature in the backround haha
Well, here's a suggestion.. Think of the left hand as a metronome because it never changes its rhythm throughout the piece... Master the left hand on its own, make sure you have it down perfectly. Once you got that down, follow the beats and you should be able to just put the right hand notes in the right place.. it's important to master left hand and right hand each on its own before combining them. Just keep practicing and you'll get it.
Thankyou!!!
@TheCorecase Thank you for your advice. I know how to tackle difficult pieces (classical guitar) I just feared that I reached too high with this piece, considering that its about 10 years ago since I had piano lessons (I'm 17 now). Your reaction comforts me - I won't give up!
@LifeIsLoud182 Glad you liked it :)
@PlanktonPoker Awesome! Have fun and good luck.
@lmh1996 Congrats!! I'm glad it's helpful! :) And thank you too! By the way, if you're interested in learning La Valse d'Amelie, i'm going to post a tutorial for that this weekend.
I can play the left hand part cause of you. Thank you! I only needet a few minutes to figure it out. There is always a muster =)
Tomorrow I will learn the right hand part, now I need to go to work ;(
God damn it I need a real piano! My Keyboard sounds OK, but it's not the same =(
Great Video Corecase!
@GoodbyeMrX I'm so glad it's helpful! Good luck on the right hand.. it's not hard. =D Thanks for the great comment. =)
@TheCorecase
Yeah? wow thank you! i am looking forward to it ! :D
@mauricemaushausxd I'm glad you liked it XD I'll try making a tutorial for that. :)
@VasilisaSolod Haha, i'm glad you liked it. :) Thank You!
@TheSwali Haha, it actually wasn't intentional, my window was just open. XD
@killsome49 Good luck on it man! It's a great song, and i love it too. =] I hope my tutorial is helpful. I have a part 3 waiting to be uploaded, unfortunately i've barely had any time the past week to upload it. However, i will hopefully have it uploaded by thursday. Anyway, the most important parts are parts 1 and 2, part 3 will just make it easier to put the two hands together.
is this the simplified version??
The left hand part and right hand part are easy......its just learning how to play them at the same time, thats hard for me
@macsters451 Try it out! It could be a good start for you if you're interested in learning how to play...
I really want to be able to play this song; but I fear that it's too difficult. I've been student at the music school for almost all my life and was preparing for an audition at the conservatory (classical guitar), but abandoned it. I have chosen to keep it as a passion disassociated from the busy stressful life of work. I have had some piano lessons when I was little, however I think they are negligible. How much experience do you need to play this piece? Do I have to resume lessons again?
Great tutorial !! thank you so much !! :D Could you make a turorial of "Yiruma- River flows in you" ? :D that would be amazing ;)
@PlanktonPoker It's really not that difficult! I've never played piano (playing drums since 2 years now) and learned the left hand in 2 hours. I don't know if that's good or not, but you can learn it pretty fast :-)
@PlanktonPoker Honestly, i don't think you need to resume lessons for this piece; it doesn't take much experience to play it. It would actually be a great start for you if you're interested in improving your piano playing. It might seem a bit hard at first but it really isn't. My suggestion would be to practice VERY slowly and take it piece by piece; don't follow the dynamics at first - play it loud and press down well on the keys. After you get the whole piece down, add the dynamics.
I Love This Song I Know How To Play It Now Well, Half Of It!?!?!?!?!?
I can play both parts separately, it is putting them together that is the hard part. I can't seem to keep my left hand doing what it needs to do. Is there any tips, besides practice?
Hi Emma! Thanks for your question. Don't be discouraged, that's definitely challenging at first. Unfortunately, practice is pretty much the answer to everything; however, there are certain methods of practice that will help you improve more quickly. What I would recommend, is to keep playing the left hand alone, at an exaggerated slow pace, lifting your fingers high up as much as possible before placing them down on the upcoming notes. It should be almost like a workout - you should feel the tension in your hands and forearms. Practice the left hand part alone like this maybe 20 times (or more) in a row - you should feel very comfortable playing the left hand part, not requiring much thinking. Then, when you bring the right hand to join in, again keep the slow and exaggerated pace, and only practice the first few notes (maybe the first six) of the right hand with the left hand together. If it's not happening, try to slow down even more or reduce the number of notes in the right hand - for example, just try to combine the first two notes. Practice those few notes with the two hands combined until it feels very comfortable. Then you can bring in the next few notes, etc. It is definitely going to be a tiresome (and maybe a bit annoying) process at first, but practicing this way, you will quickly start noticing that your coordination has greatly improved - you might even be surprised at how quickly that happens. Just try to be patient with yourself :) Hope this helps!
Thank you so much. I appreciate the feedback and advice that you took the time to give. I will definitely give it a try and if I learn it, I'll let you know :)
(this may not work fr you but works for me) choose one of the easiest parts there and practice that to the point where its so easy you dont even have to look at the piano whilst playing it. the hardest part you can then keep you eye on that and make sure you wont make and mistakes.
@BrokenGirlHearted Just keep practicing.. your fingers will get longer. XD
i hear water and birds
The
Jeez, someone give me a tip for how to play this along with the fast part, I cant seem to get the same rythm flowing when playing the fast part with the right hand! frustrating!
Best tip I can give you is to practice playing it very slow until you feel totally comfortable playing that part. Check out part 3 of my tutorial for this piece (2:18 of part 3 is the point where the fast part starts) - you could use that as a reference! Hope that helps.
Nope.
oh man meine finger sind zu kurz
