Thanks for making this video showing off these great books. I hope you double your money and make some on top of that. And I hope you're feeling better from your operation.
I've got a hair over 14k valuation on this video. Hard to guess grades, but I shot it down the middle. If it were me, I wouldn't feel comfortable at the purchase price, but I think it's possible to be at break even without factoring in the man hours.
Whoa brother, this series was exhausting to watch, can't even imagine the tediousness of putting the videos and organizing the collection for sale. Props to you Gary 🎉
I don't think I'd take less than 25k for my books after seeing all these videos. 😂 Thanks for all the entertainment Gary, the videos were a blast to watch.
Gary, fun series and I have a few questions about it. I am wondering how long it will be for you to just break-even and get back what you paid for a collection of this size and quality? Also how long have you been doing this for and last, 25k is alot of $ to be tied up and when spending this amount on books, so does Mrs Very Gary ever say maybe we should pass on this or she just trust your judgment when it comes to spending money like this.
I had forgotten just how many keys you got in this collection. I remember buying that Marvel Spotlight #5 right off the comic rack. I am not sure about you making double of what you paid for the collection. I am pretty darn positive you will make a profit! And what a collection! Thanks for sharing.Peace out.
I feel like of the keys that are more sought after but have a lower value, there wasn’t a lot of them, and there was more keys that hold value but aren’t necessarily selling like hot cakes, I feel like this will only be a big win if the more valuable more sought after keys grade out to be in the higher end you’ll be ok, but otherwise I personally wouldn’t have wanted to pay more then 20k for this collection. But you know your audience and buyers better than anyone, here on the west coast I feel like even at 20k plus expenses and time it would’ve been a struggle to double it.
Killer stuff there... Huuuuuuge collection with tons and tons of work! Enjoyed every single video! Now what am I gonna do? 😂 There wasn't a FF 48, Hulk 181 in there or did I just miss them
I might not agree with some things but that looks like a excellent purchase. I know that it's a pain to get together to begin getting money back. Excellent job on the video's
You got a good deal. I think you’ll do way better than doubling up. You have many books in the sweet spot for price. The few times I sold at comic shows the books in the $10 to $40 price range were my best sellers by far. I can bring 1000 books that are under $3 and I’ll maybe sell 30. If I bring 100 books that are around $20 each I’ll sell half. Silver age marvel and DC run filler sells like crazy for me.
I think you did really well and I believe you should make all your money back in time and maybe make more ! Great books and they all seem in good shape ! So the answer is yes I do believe this is the best collection you bought
RUclips does not pay well. About $10 for every 1,000 views. I wish the money didn't come out of my pocket. Maybe if I had millions of views. Maybe someday. Haha
1st Golden Age Green Lantern in the SIlver Age is either Flash 129 (In Flashback) or Flash 137. His first silver age appearance in a Green Lantern title is Green Lantern 40.
I mean I just added up by rounding books to nearest $100 of the ones you showed. Pretty sure those alone (agin also assumed condition so some might be better or worse than I imagine) but those should get money back maybe 5k more. The rest while bulk had a lot of excellent $5-50 stuff which is where ifbpriced competitively you can easily double up
Let’s see…..to break even for $25K the breakdown in # of books x value would need to be some permutation of: 5x$1K, 10x$500, 30x$200, 50x$100, 100x$20, 200x$10. I’d guess you made it, but doubling up would really depend on the big book$.
I know you’re focused on the best of the best keys, but there were a ton of great non-key Bronze and Copper Age books as well as entire runs of popular comics like GI Joe, Walking Dead, and Savage Dragon that people judging this shouldn’t dismiss.
Biggest questions to answer: 1. Does Gary feel like he got his money back in this buy? 2. Is there a complete Savage Dragon and Walking Dead run in all of that? 3. What is he going to do with all those illustrated boxes? They are basically collectible at this point!
Looks like you’ll clear your 25k easy. Is it generally that you’ll sell the big books quickly, making a good chunk back and then the rest over a long period? Or do even the big books take some time? Would you divulge how you make at a big show?
I’ve watched every video of this series. Love it!
I think you did good Gary. You made your money back with all the keys showed in this video. All those 5,10,15,20 dollar books is profit
Gary, I was living vicariously through you in this series. It was thoroughly entertaining. Looks like you made a wise purchase. 👍
I really enjoyed them all you have a great collection I'll try and reach out to grab a couple of those keys to be continued 😊
One of my favorite series you’ve done. I really think you did well fantastic for sure.
Thanks for making this video showing off these great books. I hope you double your money and make some on top of that. And I hope you're feeling better from your operation.
No matter how may Conan number 23/24 Gary buys, he always goes back and forth with himself on which is the first full or cameo. lol
Processing that collection wasn’t fun for you but it sure was fun for us! I’m sure you’ll make your money back real quick with all these great books.
Daaaang, that's quite the stack of comics.
Great series! Can't wait for the next collection!!

Great series of videos! Do more like this, immediately!

I’m a huge Doom Patrol fan. I would love to make an offer on the lot!
These are fantastic books. Great comic book collection.
Good job, Gary!
This is what I've been waiting for. EXCELLENT
I don't think I'd take less than 25k for my books after seeing all these videos. 😂
Thanks for all the entertainment Gary, the videos were a blast to watch.
Holy hell! Great deal! I would have spent the same, that's sick
This series of 20 videos was one of the best I have seen on RUclips not just your channel. I can’t wait to see what’s coming next.
Wow, thank you!
You did very well great books
Can definitely see where the money went with the wrap up video. Good stuff.
Remember getting silver and bronze marvel at drugstores on Wednesday back when they came out and some at used bookstore.
Wow Gary so many great keys!!! Hopefully one day I'll be able to buy some if not all of them. 😊
awesome series, so many big books!

After watching all.19 parts amazing how many keys you actually pulled...nice collection

There was an ff48

Getting there

There were a ton a great Spider-Man keys in this collection
From leaked photos it looks like Franklin Richard's will be in the FF movie. Great spec. Gary
Crazy how cheap that collection was
These prices are overly inflated, Gary needs to mention what he pays for these comics are not coming out from his own pocket , but RUclips money

PART 20 and Gary is still shouting out Terrificon!

I think you'll do well.
Yeah, when you flash them like that I kind of think I might of been wrong about my first assesment.
Seems you made your money back and plus congratulations

Keys on keys on keys on keys
Not to be rude but I think it's kinda funny that for the time you went through that one long box you were talking to just yourself.

I dont think I can say what I make at the bigger shows, but this is definitely a slow burn collection.
So did the previous owner keep all the major keys? Maybe down sized his collection? I would like to see what he kept lol. 👍🏽🤙🏽
He kept a few books that were slabbed. Hulk 181. Ba12. Gi joe 1. 1st michonne. Some others I can't remember.
See you in New York curious how much is that black Panther let me know.
you getting the new zelda
My daughter is
I’d like get the Conan the barbarian from you if it’s available.
where do you get your mylar from
E.gerber
what brand mylars do use??
Gerber
No new mutants 98??
Gary are pressable defects. Matt’s forge still doing videos.
They don't make videos at the moment. Maybe someday they'll be back
Now let us watch you pull the minor keys?
I still think you overpaid because none are graded. Lots of work needed on the back end.
❤✌🤘👉🔥👈
I'm missing 56 of those. Did anyone else count?
