Show me something today promoting more diversity and pure love of the arts than this 30 year old show. Sad how far we've regressed as a society in such a short time.
thanks for uploading , this is better quality than the other video of just Bongwater's performance. The Pussywillows and Screamin' Jay as well! Bob weir couldn't keep up with Kramer and Ann Magnuson . April March looks so young here. I remember when this aired. I wish there were more shows like this.
Wasserman and Bullock are fully into the thing as well. As a punk kid raised on jazz, my favorite moments of Night Music were seeing the house band absolutely go for it without fear with post-punk or avantgarde artists. Don't know if it's better knowing that Sanborn can play anything well and chooses to be schmaltzy as a leader, but there we are.
@@emoedison I originally wanted to see this video because of Bongwater, Screaming Jay and the Pussywillows. That duet between Bob Weir and Rob Wasserman made me change my mind. I still think the whole series should be on DVD. Hell, maybe even Blu-Ray.
A soprano saxophonist playing multiphonics on TV?! Wow!
Sanborn's show was the best television show ever was and probably ever will be.
Another great episode. Jaw dropping talent. What a joy to watch.
Victim or the Crime is a great song. Very underrated.
Rest in Peace Rob Wasserman
I remember this episode, Sunday Night! Fuck going to sleep for school in the morning, this was my hip vibe…!
I love Screaming Jay Hawkins! He's an original. Night Music Band makes it rock!
