I did early dancer for mage gear early, its fucking rough, much respect.
Based on the lore of this game, it’s implied that Waluigi himself tried to link the fire, that’s why he wasn’t in Smash Bros.
Then Waluigi, Lord of Cinder shows up for smash

Character lore idea: it really isn't his face. He's wearing a burial mask, fashioned after his real face before death. His face was burned beyond recognition before death, meaning that the sculptor was going off of the descriptions of those who knew him in life, leading it to be exaggerated so much.

RT hasn’t learnt from Tears of the Kingdom and just goes decides straight to facing an endgame boss. Never change RT, never change.
to be fair, he didn't die to any of the endgame bosses in tears of the kingdom
yeah, um, if anything, he learned QUITE well that thumbing his nose at reasonable game progression has zero downsides for him
Only downside is that in DS3, the game gets better the further into it you are progression-wise (kind of the opposite to how DS1 ends up).
Since he's doing the late game and DLC stuff first he's leaving bosses like Deacons of the Deep, Wolnir and Yhorm for last. Which would be a somewhat underwhelming way to finish a playthrough. Thankfully, Twin Princes and the final boss can only be done near the end, which ends things on a high note as I think they're some of the best bosses in the base game.

Fun fact: with a charged r2, you can stagger vordt and open hum for a riposte. This easiest during the phase 2 breath attack
This is also true for dancer, just a lot harder
learned from a friend that you can parry ludex gundyr's jump attack

RT holding a shield he can't even wield instead of just holding his staff in his off hand for easy access to his spells and swordsmanship is the exact level of incompetence I love him for.

I beat dancer as a sellsword 9 mins in the game before its absolutely doable.

@@xPix1eI mean... get a crystal infused weapon and go to town. For most of my playthrough I used a Crystal Astora Greatsword before switching to the Immolation Tinder just before starting the dlc. And even so, Heysel's Pick isn't bad as a melee weapon

RT getting 2 badass scythes and deciding to use a rapier that barely works instead is the height of his FromSoft playthrough series. Also, the fact that he literally just made Sorcerer Rogier as his build.

DS3 is the first souls game I played and Gundyr was a brick wall that took me so RUclips long to beat. Good job clearing them with a sliver of life.
Same here, had around 30 attempts. I'd never played anything like it before. Definitely the hardest tutorial boss

Seems unlikely, given that we already had a full playthrough fairly recently, but I definitely wouldn't mind the Return of Jim Scary, but this time with a cannon arm and a pizza cutter :P
Honestly I'd really love to see RT do a playthrough of the cinders overhaul for Ds3
I hope it's not one of those Dark Souls mods that just try to turn the game into something that the player doesn't have the tools to deal with and it just becomes very one-sided.
I kept seeing that one mod that gave Pontiff the moveset of the final boss from Sekiro and I went "this does not sound like a good idea because you're stuck with a stamina bar and don't have Wolf's moveset".
@@leithaziz2716 I've played the mod where Pontiff gets Isshin's moveset and I have to say the modders did a very good job of implementing it. He feels great to play against and is very well balanced.

Interestingly they handle it very well, and it’s an incredible well developed fight considering the extremely different play styles of sekiro and DS3
@@leithaziz2716 having played through it, its not a mod rhat just makes things harder, it reworks the game from start to final dlc, adds small qol and new features while balancing that out with certain tweals like sparser and differently placed bonfires and changed enemy placement/new enemies among other things. I genuinely reccomend it as an experience, it also brings back alot of weapons and enemies from previous dark souls games for extra variety
Tl:dr it rebalances and overhauls the game to provide a new experience that while a little harder is still fun for casual players, and still feels vanilla
I would say convergence would be a better mod. Cinders is just cluster fucky to me. Convergence feels very fresh and it even adds new structures and pathways

Dan is like the Dnd player who usually plays a Barbarian but decides to give Wizard or Sorcerer a try.
9:44 fun fact, it’s difficulty comes from the fact that it’s rhythm and timing is different from all other bosses.
So bad players and noobs often find it (relatively) easier than good players, as they’re not used to the average pattern.
I'm mostly repeating a comment I made earlier, but I wanted to share it here.
What catches people about Dancer is that her attacks have a very delayed windup (when you see an enemy raise their weapon, the natural expectation is that they'll slam the weapon down the instant it reaches its apex). When you can react soley by relying on this instinct, you enter into a "flowstate" and get immersed in the fight, which is a fantastic feeling.
Dancer's strange timings are meant to be a curveball and the exception for people relying on this strategy, but they do have a consistent rythm between attacks, and that lets the fight keep this flowstate that makes the boss engaging without feeling cheap. You just have to learn that pattern. At a certain point, you don't need to know what attack comes directly after, you'll have a hunch of the next dodge-window.
It's the one difference that in my opinion justifies that the unnatural timings, compared to a lot of delayed attacks in Elden Ring which seem only designed to throw the player off as well as break the flow, and can't be learned without trial and error. That's something that annoyed me about Godfrey and Rykard. The frequency of them probably didn't help either.

Pestilent Mist "Carbon Monoxide spell" is my favorite spell in ds3, big slow bosses get decimated by it and it doesn't cause aggro so you can just kill mimics hassle free.
I've seen content creators cheese Midir and Gael with that spell and it's insane.

Austin Horrigan has a great video on the subject, but the tldr: is that dancer moves at 3/4 time where as every other enemy in the game moves at 4/4.

RT playing a magic build is the equivalent of buying an Anti-Material Rifle, forgetting to buy ammo for it, and then trying to use the gun as a baseball bat.

If your gonna run around with a shield primarily on your back I suggest the ethereal oak shield in the ashes dlc. It's accessible as soon as you reach the deacons area and replenishes 2 hp per second. Also it has 100 percent physical block stat

Pestilent Mist is actually a good boss spell, the very first time i beat Darkeater Midir when the ringed City dlc dropped i cheesed him with Pestilent Mist.

I can't be happier, RT is playing my favorite game in the soulsborne series.
As someone who has never had much of an interest in the SoulsBorne games, seeing Dan do a (partly) magic run has made me want to play one for the first time. I think I might pick up Elden Ring in the Steam Summer Sale and give it a go.
Elden Ring is a good choice for newcomers especially with as many spells as it has

Magic in ER is definitely fun. Went INT/FTH and all blue flasks. If cast time or close range is a problem you can work with the carian slicer too.

Someone tell this man that two-handing dex weapons in DS3 is an active hindrance.
You pay with lower range, slower speed and more stamina consumption for like 3 extra damage.
Souls 3 has taken one of my spots for top favorite games ever. Fromsoft took what they learned in Bloodborne's improved graphics and faster combat, while still keeping the charm of Souls 1 and 2 alive. The world, the fights, the bosses, the combat: everything just felt GOOD. The kind of game where you can feel it: how the developers know it's a masterpiece of a trilogy's ending. The grand finale, the "thank you" to it's fans. My 1 and only disappointment in this game is that I didn't buy the collector's edition, and that's not even on the game's fault, that's just a me problem.
Can't wait for the moment when he fights Midir and Gael.

Had a player casually walk away from me and another bloody finger in Elden Ring. The other phantom and I just looked at each other in bewilderment. I did attack eventually though on a whim. Got smashed to jelly

Get the hidden ring at the firelink shrine? You did the tree trick to get up there. Though did you hit the wall to reveal the other hidden path? It’ll lead to a ledge and then a ring.
Pestilent mist makes a comeback in Elden Ring as Night Maiden's mist.
And it is indeed broken

My favourite method of killing Dancer and the Farron Knights is to go completely naked and use Flynn’s ring to buff the rock pyromancy, absolutely bodies them
My least favorite thing about DS3 has to be that the dogs basically teleport.
Other than that, love the game.
The dogs move so fast that the game legitimately can't keep track of their location and they end up teleporting to your location. It's some cursed stuff.
@@leithaziz2716That's not what happens at all. The dogs appear to teleport because entities you're not looking at are animated at a much lower framerate, and the dogs are so fast that they can run back into your field of view before the game begins animating them properly.

Weird how thats accurate because of the final boss being the combination of everyone who linked the first flame, which includes all the weird characters
Here we can see RT employ the traditional wizard tactic: facetanking every attack thrown at him and mashing LB like his life depends on it
