  • Introducing the newly added EndoSequence Scout Files that now have allowed us to use the EndoSequence and ESX Files through this Blended protocol called EndoSequence Blend. This universal protocol allows safe and efficient use of a blend of non heat treated and heat treated EndoSequence, ESX, and the newly released EndoSequence Scout files to further improve the versatility and efficiency of your instrumentation.

    I have a concern about WL shortening when instrumenting. At which point wont the WL get shorter? For example, use the orifice opener, measure 20 mm with #10 file, can I go with all the rest of the files to 20mm? Or is there still danger of the WL becoming shorter?

    • @AANasseh
      @AANasseh  2 года назад

      Depends on curvature. The thinner and more curved the canal the more the change in working length. If the root is straight WL change is minimal. It's a good idea to measure WL again with an apex locator at the end if you are questioning your length.

    Very excited to try this. Excellent video. One question- obviously working on a clear tooth, you can visually see your WL, but you measured the WL about midway through instrumentation. Clinically would you use a pre-op measured radiograph to estimate your WL for your first initial rotatry files? But even with that how can one be sure that if you were doing this clinically, the 25 and 20 scout file didn't go through and past the apex after engaging a couple mm. Great video again, thanks!

      Sorry for the late reply ! Better late than. Ever! ;)
      That was a good question. So, I use the EndoSync Plus that has an apex locator incorporated in the handpiece. Therefore, I measure the working length with my smaller scout files and often end up using no hand files at all. Cheers!

    Hey Dr. Nasseh are you part of TDO? If not have you heard some of their tx philosophies?

    • @AANasseh
      @AANasseh  6 лет назад

      Not a part of TDO; however, I know their minimally invasive philosophy. This would be the right file system for them. May of them have already begun to use the ES Scouts after the AAE meeting. Cheers!

    Thanks for another informative video.
    I am just wondering, instead of using the es scout files, can you use kontrolflex. And also if es scout files unwind, can I autoclave to wind it back up and how many times can I do this.
    Thank you

    • @AANasseh
      @AANasseh  6 лет назад

      You can use KontroFlex but Dr. Nasseh prefers the Scouts over KontroFlex since they do not unwind as readily and stay centered because of their landed design. He recommends the Scouts over KontrolFlex at this point. -RWE staff.

    When do you check working length? With the 10? isn't that too small?

    • @eew12
      @eew12 5 лет назад

      Based on another video I watched of his, his endo handpiece plugs into an apex locator, and his rotary stops turning when it reaches the apex. Then he uses the rotary file in the xray for length confirmation. If I'm not mistaken, it's during his use of the scout files. It could also be done prior to starting with the expeditor with a traditional apex locator and xray. You'd need a larger file than 10 to confirm in an xray, but he likely doesn't show it here because he doesn't do it that way.

    Great video as always. The ESX look a little like the Race and bio race files available in the UK. Are they similar or totally different. Cheers

      Different design but the same concept. Alternating Cutting Points found in EndoSequence.

    u use vtaper 2h?

    • @AANasseh
      @AANasseh  6 лет назад +1

      I have tried them but don't use them regularly. V taper files have a similar cross sectional design as ES Scouts. The difference is ES Scouts are designed for cutting efficiency. You notice the difference in cutting clinically between the two.
      Cheers.

    Can someone start building a buy order list for brassler?

      @AANasseh  5 лет назад

      Do you mean you would like to have a list of specific items to buy from Brasseler to implement a technique like the Blend?

    Hi dr. Nasseh , the endosequence scout file are the same as ES CM files ?? Because ESscout are only available as ESR files... It's a bit confusing

    • @AANasseh
      @AANasseh  6 лет назад

      You are right. Things are getting confusing and a video is needed to clarify things. I will do that. Meanwhile, EndoSequence CM is different than EndoSequence Scouts. The CM has the same geometry and design as EndoSequence but it's heat treated. The Scouts have a Hero Design in cross section, have only 12mm cutting edge, and are also heat treated. Scouts are used mostly in smaller sizes and CM is used in all kinds of sizes in both 04 and 06. Hope this helps. :)

      I'm not sure what's available in India. But you should learn the best use of whatever protocol each file has that you are using. Please consult the manufacturer of the file system you use. Best wishes.
