    Thank you for sharing these other channels. Adam Mizner is quite a respectable Tai Chi practitioner.

    Omg 😂 I guess I am the taiji bad boy now 😅 thanks so much Shirley, you're amazing! While I jokingly say I been forced to live like a taoist monk, I practice pure land Buddhism and took the refuge in a chan temple in 2001. (But keep it hush hush, I have to protect my bad boy image now😅😅😅)
    You're so sweet for this and you randomly picked all my taiji cousins! All these guys are the awesome people and makes me miss being back home and the meetups! Steven and Matt are super cool guys and I know Jan's dad who is awesome and they're from the wcc lineage also!!! So jan is one of my a kung fu brothers! I never met Jan irl but he and his dad are strong players and totally need to be recommended more.
    I forgot you mentioned you did twitch! I was on there for years gaming, didn't even know they had martial arts back then.
    I'm really happy to see you try bringing the old school support for community back. People need to remember how to come together again. You're the big sister this community needs right now!
    Do ze Dai ga ze! ❤😂

      Thanks Chris! I think it's time we heal the fractures in our community. Or rather, time for those of us who want to leave the old generations' fractures with the old generation and move on with other like minded folks to move on. Since I have a big platform right now, I will start. Hopefully others will follow 😁

    Thank you for these suggestions and the content you provide yourself. I had a hodge podge of teachers through the years and love finding rich content on tai chi and qigong. I also work in wellness and would love to know which organizations you recommend to go to for certifications and trainings.

    Thank you for profiling these channels! ♥ Love how you're paying it forward. I appreciate @damianneve because he consistently and passionately engages with his audience. I like @SomedayFarm 's content too -- though he'd probably get more traction if he upped his game regarding titles, thumbnails, and metadata (I don't think Stephen cares about blowing up on RUclips, and that's fine). I'm not a fan of sports push-hands, since the practitioners so often are operating externally vs. internally, but @JansTaiChi seems like a sincere practitioner and content creator. As for the others you recommended, thanks to you, I'll check 'em out. As for other small channels, Joey Nishad runs a couple of them. He doesn't fully dedicate his content to taijiquan, but it is the main focus of his channels. Someone I respect in my internal martial arts lineage has met Joey and vouches for his skill. Like Damian, Joey doesn't mind breaking someone's rice bowl in their respective comment sections, but both dole out much respect when they feel it's warranted as well.

    I will check those channels out I did notice they are all males which is a little surprising but then again most men watch females which makes sense as possibly why these channels are all men and low subs , also why I never followed through in doing a channel yrs back.
    a little off-topic here I like communications, languages, but I only speak English and well my English isn't the greatest lol . Languages and translations of those languages ,some words don't exist in other languages, so when translating the meaning of what is said it can be lost or maybe even when originally translated into say English mistranslated . Also, a huge thing is culture the western culture is not like the older eastern culture, so the words and meaning of thing are different and lost. The whole thing with culture and language and put me down that rabbit hole . I have always wanted to learn Chinese languages especial;l;y the ones used in martial arts just so I can better understand the true meaning I have done my best to learn much through books that were translated into English and for the longest time including sometimes even now I don't understand because to me the translation doesn't always fit what I take and the meaning in the original pictures I sometimes see it differently then the way its worded in English which I do hope other people that have just read my post understand what I am saying

    • @AipingTaiChi
      @AipingTaiChi  5 месяцев назад

      Languages are so tricky because unfortunately translations can't convey the cultural context. Chinese is especially hard to translate into English because each pictograph character itself has meaning more than just a word so when you put multiple characters together, a lot of meaning can be interpreted. Languages that use alphabets can't convey the same think with their writing alone. Maybe if the writings were accompanied my images.
      As for my recommendations, I would love to include some female instructors. I'll do another video recommending more channels for my 20K sub milestone video.
