What would you say is the primary philosophy of Luisa Piccarretta of Corato, Italy? And how does it compare morally to other women philosophers? And what do you make of her striking religious beliefs? How would you characterize them? How would you describe her approach to interacting with the universe and with God? Have you read her 36 volumes? They have been translated into English from the original Italian dialect. Dr. Joseph Ianuzzi has written a dissertation on the volumes, but I’ve yet to read it. ❤
@@human.psyche philosophy involves being open minded and interested in exploring ideas and seeking the truth. Most of these women have a fixed set of beliefs and an ideology which they push unrelentingly and brook no opposition within their sphere of power.. the opposite of actual philosophy
The teacher of Socrates is always forgotten, because like him she left nothing written, and she didn't have Plato as a student to write of her. However he does make references to her, and surprisingly so does Aristotle. There are many writings of the school of philosophy she held in her own house, attended mostly by men, writen in her lifetime. It's a shame she's so forgotten because she was literary the teacher of Socrates, and therefore the one who started the amazing Socrates - Plato - Aristotle "revolution".
@@InsightfulEverything her Covenent Epistemology from her book Loving to Know just holds so much explanatory power. I definitely biased towards epistemology, but I think that her work so clearly defines our relationship with the Real that it ends up addressing many of the concerns core to the metaphysical and ontological issues being tackled in these other schools. I never knew there were so many female philosophers. Thanks for the video.
No problem! Thanks for watching.
The only video I've seen solely on female philosophers. I hadn't heard of most.

What about Princess Elisabeth of Bohemia, best known for her criticism of Descartes' metaphysics?
Do you think she put up a good argument?
She certainly raised issues that Descartes failed to adequately answer and, indeed, are still troubling philosophers to this day.
