A great speech indeed. A brave and historical step by The Ethiopian PM Hailemariam. Ethiopia will keep on making every possible effort to promote peace, development and the regional integration. This will benefit not only the people of Eritrea and Ethiopia, but the people of the horn of Africa. Yes, we can! Long live Africa!

Who is still watching this video? Ethiopia has been one of the remotely controlled countries since the end of the 2nd world war and this is the reason why there is always war between the major ethnic groups for power. Who ever gives aid have complete authority in the country.

We are in 2012, soon 2013! It is not 60's, 70's or 80's any more! Come on! Grow up! Love today, if you have they gut to adore yesterday! For God's sake swallow your pride, be un-'racist', non-hypocritical coz with the scales you measure others, you are also to be scaled! Great speech Mr PM Hailemariam D!

Reading the comments, I realize that there are many people who are angry and not ready to talk, is a sin, speak well after all does not cost, however, the idea would be great for peace..Ensh-Allah

lol .......... your predecessor excellency Meles zenawi has asked more than 50 times even to go to Asmera and negotiate with Esayas Afeworki. your successor Dr Abiy Ahmed asked 1 time to negotiate and did it well. what is your contribution as a prime minister who was in power for 6 years?

Eritrea and Ethiopia went to war because of border disputes, the reason for war was because they couldn't or were unable to have talks or ''peace talks'' bilaterally so they ended up going to an International Court they have agreed as ''final and binding''. It is morally wrong and legally wrong to ask for further talks before you apply ''the final and binding court ruling'' and hypocritical to say I accept the court ruling in ''principle'' but we need to talk.

If these PM is still a Human Being he need to know there are some fellow Africans who deal with principles first and in these case Eritrea who are saying apply the court ruling and we will exchange ambassadors the following day and peace will reign gradually if not in a break neck speed.

    ACTION SPEAKES LOUDER THAN WORDS.
Therefore, DIALOGS, AGREEMENTS, TREATIES, RESOLUTIONS,,, are pointless, with out PRACTICALLY IMPLIMENTING THE FINAL OUTCOME of the "dialogs & agreements", on the ground.
Anythingelse is Russian roulette, a potentially lethal game of chance in which a player places a single round in a revolver, spins the cylinder, places the muzzle against his head, and pulls the trigger.
WHAT'S THE POINT OF TALKING, WHEN YOU CAN NOT HONOR YOUR WORDS ???

As Isayas(wedi afom) closed all the schools in Eritrea, I think you had no chance to advance beyond 1st grade. That said, it is Eritrea who is controlling Ethiopian territory(Assab).
We know why you invaded Ethiopia; it was to make the world see the Ethio-Eritrean border as it was then which included Assab so as to prevent Ethiopians from getting it legally. That was a naive calculation because what happened in the war left not only Assab but the whole Eritrea at our mercy.

The tigrinya regime in Asmara occupy Djibouti land so ask your tigrinya regime why they they occupy Djibouti? Second point is that the region of horn of African will be much better after the removal or death of issaya, this will happen soon God willing.
