I have the arc as well! Full disclosure: cozy mystery has been hit or miss to me...I actually wasn't a huge fan of the Finlay Donovan series but I've liked others! So I'm intrigued to see where I'll end up with this one! 🌸
Post vacation blues are the WORST! I actually get post vacation blues before my vacation is even over! 2-3 days before we're leaving, I start getting sad 😞
🛍 Love the "random question" countdown 😂 I'm really excited for Heartless Hunter (published as The Crimson Moth in Australia). So many good recommendations and love the Kindle Scribe you gifted yourself ❤
Endlessssss amounts of random questions around here 😂 I'm LOVING the scribe! It's amazing! & honestly, not at ALL regretting my decision to own two kindles 😍 I can't wait to dive into Crimson Moth/Heartless Hunter!
I absolutely loved the Good Girl's Guide series, as we've discussed before, but i hated Five Surivie. The reason people disliked Good Girl #3 just shined through Five Survive so I have vowed to read Reappearance and give Holly one last try. If i like the book I'll continue reading her. If not, then i will mourn my wounds and move on 😊
Blade of Secrets is actually a newer Trisha novel! And fun fact: aparently someone saw the Nazi symbol on the cover so they had to change it slightly before the book came out.
Really?!?! Wow she has written sooo much more than I thought she had! Super excited to explore more of her work! Oh geez! How did that make it through editing!? 😬
I looooooved dark matter ! I read it as a romance story instead of focusing on the sci-fi stuff haha also it’s a great show now on Apple TV ! (It was dark but it’s in the title lol)
Now you’re making me more excited to read it!!!!! 😁😁😁😁 hahaha omg I laughed so hard - you are SO right!!! Why wouldn’t I expect DARK matter to be DARK?!?!? 🤣🤣🤣 Thanks love!!!! ❤️
Blades of Secrets is one of my favorites. I love the Tiger series by Colleen Houck. The Final book is by far the best, but I flew through and really enjoyed the whole series. Great haul.
Tricia Levenseller just knows the way I love my writing! Can't wait to explore more of her books! 📖 Tiger's Curse comes with so many high recommendations that maybe I need to move it up on my priority list! 🐯
Wow so many books! I don’t think I could buy that many in one month lol. Can’t afford it. But I hope you love them all! I highly recommend Heartless Hunter and The Liar’s Crown. They were 5 stars for me.
Girl your shirt is great! Happy belated birthday! 🥳 My husband's 30th is today ☺️ This haul is everything! I'm excited for your Kindle spinwheel to get even more chaotic! 😂 I just bought When the Moon Hatched before watching this video. Your videos are so wonderful and comforting! Thanks for sharing! 🫶🛍️
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUR HUBBY! 🎂 I'm pretty sure I linked the shirt in the description, but if I didn't, feel free to send me a message on insta & I can send it to you! My kindle spin wheel is out of control 😂 Thank you so much for your sweet words! Hearing that someone takes comfort from my videos is the ULTIMATE compliment! 💌
Got some great recommendations. The ones I find intriguing to check out are Fairy Tale by: Stephen King, Every Time I go on vacation someone dies, Your Blood My Bones, Honey Witch, Ready or Not, A Curse of Blood and Wolves, I'm Afraid You've Got Dragons, and The Lies of Locke Lamora. For Mother's Day I got a new camera and 2 new books. I got Happy Place by: Emily Henry and Chain of Thorns by: Cassandra Clare. Happy Birthday & Mother's Day! 🛍
Good morning! I'm so glad you got some great recs! Those are some of the ones I'm most excited for too! A new camera & books?!?! Now that's a GREAT Mother's Day!! 💐
I thought the SAME thing about When the Moon Hatched...read the Goodreads synopsis. My husband thought the same thing when he saw it though...he couldn't believe how thick it was, but I couldn't resist the beauty of it 😍
Ok I'm glad I'm not the only one who's totally confused by the synopsis! I'm going to read the GoodReads now! 😂 Have you seen the new special edition that was announced?! Omg it's gorgeous!
My first Stephen King was The Shining. Honestly, though, I read NOS4A2 by Joe Hill first. Joe Hill is Stephen King's son. When I liked NOS4A2 and learned they were related, I decided to try King. So far, I've read The Shining, Misery, and 11/22/63 in that order. 11/22/63 has been my favorite.
Thank goodness you agree with me! What was UP with that third book?!?! Pip didn't even seem like the same basic character?!? 🤦🏻♀️ I'm always down to book shop! 🛍️
@sheisbookedandbusy it really took a turn that I wasn't expecting and really didn't like. And you're right it was like Pip wasn't even the same character.
If you want to start chronologically, I would start with Off to the Races, which is the first book in the Gold Rush Ranch series! Then I after you're done with Gold Rush Ranch, you can move onto her Chestnut Spring series with Flawless. 🤠
I'm reading Darling Girls right now - I love Sally Hepworth's suspense/family drama books (don't go into her books expecting big thrillery action - they're mismarketed). They're quick reads and have very satisfyingly awful characters lol.
@@Rainydayscozyreads it’s been a while since I read a MHC book so I can’t compare accurately. If you like books that have messed up families and murder and slow-burn suspense, give it a try!
Thank you for telling me! There's nothing worse than going into a book expecting something & coming out confused! If I go in with the right expectations, I'm able to enjoy the story more! 💐
I dont really read thrillers anymore..i like Mary Higgins Clark books....(Suspense).... But i LOVE Cozy Mysteries. ❤ Im starting to get into fantasy though (back into fantasy actually, i guess?)
I don't have maaaaany cozy mystery recs, but if you're looking for cozy fantasy, have you read Legends & Lattes by Travis Baldree yet?! Very cozy & low stakes! ☕️
@@EmilyFromme-d5c thanks. My mother has many Hannah Swenson books so I could borrow them... I tend to read ones with a bit of fantasy/paranormal written in... But I do have several series that are culinary/bookstore as well..thanks for the tip
I just had a person tell me that you should read all the Stephan king books in publication order. Because I should have read the billy sanders trilogy before reading the outsider
I read The Outsider without knowing that it was related to the Bill Hodges books. I still really enjoyed it. I've only recently started reading his books in publication order. I'm not rereading anything I've read before though. There are so many Stephen King books at this point so I think just picking and choosing whatever books of his you're interested in is where people should start.
@@sheisbookedandbusy As far as I know there are some Easter eggs in some books but not a lot of series. Years ago I just read what I wanted. I appreciate his books more now than I did because he's very long winded about the character back stories. Read some that interest you the most because you may not enjoy his writing style. I'm only doing publication order now because people talk about it now. A lot of average books for me. I'm preferring new authors of horror more, especially female writers. Based on your reading tastes you may not like his writing at all and that's okay. I work with an avid reader (250-300 books a year) and he thinks King is way over hyped. Lol
Your reaction to This Summer Will Be Different was my favorite 😂😂😂 I laughed so hard that I had tears in my eyes.
Hahahaha!!! Is it just me though?!?! Like HOW are you "best friends" with someone & wouldn't even RECOGNIZE their brother?! 😂
@@sheisbookedandbusy no, it was not just you. That makes no sense!!!
😂😂 ok good! I was honestly waiting to get roasted in the comments with people explaining it to me but everyone seems confused by that description!

I had an arc of Every time I go on vacation someone dies. It reminds me of Finlay Donovan series humor
That’s good to hear. I have an arc too but haven’t read it yet. I like the Finlay antics so that sounds good to me.
