    On Moto Control channel you will find videos about motorcycles, motorcycle riding techniques, tips & tricks and online motorcycle training for beginner and advanced riders!
    A little info about me. My name is Andrei Bodrov, originally I'm from Moscow, Russia, and now I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Back in Moscow I was a motorcycle instructor and creator of Moto Control Beginner & Advanced motorcycle rider courses, which quickly became the most popular courses in Moscow (well, at least the advanced one😁). My advanced training course makes emphasis on slow speed riding techniques at first (such as good clutch and throttle control, proper riding posture, proper use of vision, etc.), then proceeds to more advanced techniques (such as aggressive braking, trail braking, maximal lean angle). The course incorporates a lot of exercises from DOSAF slow speed riding (similar to police rodeo like motorcycle training in USA), braking and cornering exercises and motogymkhana style riding. And now, since I actively learn English - I decided to post some useful videos for both your and mine practice!😉
    🏍️🏍️🏍️
    Since everyone writes this, it's necessary, I suppose 🤷, so here we go. Disclaimer: Ride at your own risk, you are responsible for your own safety. Me, Andrey Bodrov and my channel, Moto Control disclaim any liability incurred in connection with the use of riding techniques from this channel. Use common sense, wear full protective gear and ride in a safe and predictable manner!

    Another excellent instructional, Andrey - thank you! Before every ride, no matter how long or far, I practice four exercises, in order, for 15-20 minutes: Slow Speed "Race," Slow Cone Weave, U-Turns, and Figure 8s. I find these help me to limber up, get the feel for how I'm doing that day, what I need to work on, and relax my mind and body. Then, after my ride, I work on whatever exercises (of those four) I was weakest on before the ride.
    Your videos are so great because you're succinct and there's no B.S. or fluff. You share your knowledge willingly, and I'm thankful for your channel. ✌🤘

    About to go practice this tomorrow 🙏🏻.
    The way I was told by instructors or experienced drivers, was to physically turn the handlebars and trying to do that I kept failing or hitting a cone. So I wasn’t using the counter steering method which now makes wayyyy more sense to me 😂

Now i can locate which steps im lacking in and address appropriately. The explanation on how excessive steering into the turn while countersteering leads to countersteering to the opposite way really cleared up the fog in my mind. Counter steering understanding also has evolved for me through time, first I thought countersteering only comes into effect above a certain speed, on a motorcycle, then I found out you can countersteer at any speed, but I though at slower speed you must do it differently, by just giving the bike a short little push and release push pressure quickly, now I just countersteer any bike any bicycle at any speed the same way basically, I steer a lightweight bycicle to the right as much or as little as I want, with just a little subtitle pressure with one finger, I can even not look at where im goin, look in the opposit direction , body position does not even matter, much the little subtle pressure, steers any bike at any speed, wanna steer more, just a little more pressure no problem, after a while it just somewhere in your consistence, to turn left you steer to the right, all those years in your life you had a misconception about steering, you though when I steer left you turnthe steering wheel to the left, but you never did, ever since you were a kid and you rode on a bicycle you have been countersteering without knowing it.
    Now that I know what to look for, I see a 14 year old kid on a bicycle coming towards me, and i'm on bicycle also, he is in my lane, about to crash into me, not paying attention to the road ahead because he is on his phone riding without hands on the steering wheel, he notices me a bit late, his hands go to the handle bars, I see his front wheel turning towards me, the bicycle leans away from me and the front wheel turns away from me , he just did an evasive manoeuvre, with pretty hard counter steering, but he has no clue what he is doing.

    • @MotoControlEn
      @MotoControlEn  2 года назад +2

      Hi! Actually yes, I have! It won't resolve the vision completely, but it can help with target fixation. Build yourself a circle roughly 40-50ft in diameter. Use big cones (at least 20cm). Enter the circle and start slowly increasing your speed and lean angle. Keep your vision up, look across the circle and use your main vision to look at distant things. Watch for your line with peripheral vision and try not to look at cones at all. As you increase your speed it's getting more and more difficult.

    Almost every motorcycle instructor explicitly instruct us to use handlebar steering only at slow speed which this exercise is and they suggest against using counter steering at speed less than 20 mph slow cone weave and only use counter steering in fast cone weave with speed higher than 15 - 20 mph. I am confused so wanted to try your approach at 8 mph in the slow cone weave exercise but I have doubt I can use counter steering to pass through cones 9 ft apart with a bagger

      You ever read George Orwell's 1984? That's so much accurate to what happens in Russia right now. People mostly are braindead zombie, completely owned by propaganda TV. They think (I'm not kidding, it's what literally been told by our "authorities") that the whole world wants to conquer Russia, that Ukrainians created covid as a virus weapon designed specifically against russians, that Zelensky is drug-addicted nazi who creates a nuclear weapons to destroy Moscow. You can't call war in Ukraine "war" - it's "special military operation". You can't protest it - "you are creating a bad image for russian army". You can't spread the truth about it - "you are spreading fake information". And the worst part is that people actually fall for this shit. Vast majority of people are brainwashed completely. So fuck yeah, I can't live there anymore, I had to leave.
