Last month we filled up our Volvo V70, 3 Times with diesel. It was 500$ total. So im going to test drive one of these some day. Would you say that i can drive to work and home on electricity, its 15 miles?
I have heard some people complain about it wont start on electricity, but go on gas for some Time before jumping over. Is that the case for you?

You'll definitely save a ton of $ with one of these. Sometimes the ICE will kick on at startup when the temperature outside is cold, but most of the time around 65 F and above it won't turn on unless you step on the gas pedal hard. If you have the heater on it will turn on the ICE for a bit. It has enough range to go the 15 miles one way (but depends on conditions such as hills etc.) I can go up to 45 miles on electric if I have enough down hill and stop and go traffic. Range is all conditional. Keep in mind that if your work commute is 15 miles one way, you'll probably make it 22-30 miles on electric and when you use the ICE it won't use much gas since it still gets 38mpg with no electric charge. During the quarantine I was able to squeeze 1,070 miles on one tank of gas since I was only doing street driving and always charged up. I highly recommend it. Great car!

Hard to say. Sounds like a problem with your charging cable. Check your connection at the outlet and make sure the breaker is not tripped. Hope it’s an easy fix!

you went about 8 miles and your fuel gauge actually went down *visibly*...

Thank you for the comment. I re-watched video and the reason for the change in the fuel gauge is due to being parked at an angle when I began the video, and then I drove basically downhill after that. The internal combustion engine hardly ever turned on and the gauge moved before the engine ever fired.

Thanks Craig! I never noticed until you mentioned it and it’s not ideal for the name of the video😂😂
