    How is he managing to drive the car. He isn't even looking over the steering wheel. His line of sight is the top of the steering wheel

      "The 2019 Kia Optima Sportswagon PHEV may look like a very normal car, but aside from being one of the most complicated cars we've ever driven it also has a six-speed automatic rather than a CVT, so it might actually be good to drive!
      And while electric vehicles are constantly evolving, constantly improving, but could a plug-in hybrid be the right choice when full-EVs lack flexibility?

    Have this car and the EV kilometers on a full battery is even more then KIA is promising. Around town I can get upto 67 EV km. I guess that is something like 41 miles. Great car!

    A lot of reviews and reviewers are not concerned about what he is saying and what this video is really about, grow up guys and be a bit considerate and show some respect and if you have nothing to say what this video is really about then keep mum about the nonsense comments.

    Stop marvelling about how all the technology works together, its the same in all hybrids, start telling us more about the recharging time, the space inside, boot capacity, safety, running costs.eople buy estate cars because they need the loading space - this video doesn't show anything of this.

    Don't be daft calling this better than a full EV. It's a good plug-in, it's a great car. Unfortunately, forgoing a hybrid drive train for an electric motor in place of the torque converter loses many of the advantages of electrification. Especially when that one electric motor system is unable to charge and power the wheel electrically at the same time.

    • @TsLeng
      @TsLeng 6 лет назад

      It can actually. But the Toyota hybrid system is still better and simpler.

    Ok, good review, but you are not getting free range by regenerative braking. All it does is not waste the kinetic or potential energy you have built up by transferring it into heat. Instead, the battery gets recharged a little bit. So no free anything. There is no such thing as free energy in physics.

    Hi, I have a KIA CEED PHEV 2022. I'm very disappointed how the hybrid system works. If it low temperature outside (below 10 C) then the petrol engine always starts if the so if im driving under 10km it never runs purly on electricity.
    Or if the AC is runing the petrol engien starts.
    So the petrol enginen is always running when heating or cooling...
    My advise, dont buy a KIA
