Iran launches drone attack at Israel, IDF warns this is "dangerous escalation"

- Israel said on Saturday that multiple Iranian pilotless drone aircrafts were launched from Iranian soil towards Israel, and that defence systems were poised to shoot them down or to sound sirens ordering residents in any threatened areas to take shelter. The drones' flight time would take several hours, chief Israeli military spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said in a televised briefing.
"We are closely monitoring Iranian killer drones that are en route to Israel sent by Iran. This is a severe and dangerous escalation. Our defensive and offensive capabilities are at the highest level of readiness ahead of this large scale attack from Iran," Hagari said.
Earlier in the day, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel was "ready for any scenario" and was operating under a "clear principle" of "whoever harms us, we will harm them."
The Israel-Hamas conflict, now in its seventh month, has driven up tensions in the region, spreading to fronts with Lebanon and Syria and drawing long-range fire at Israeli targets from as far away as Yemen and Iraq. Experts fear that the clashes now threaten to morph into a direct open conflict, pitting Iran and its regional allies against Israel and its main supporter, the United States.

Dangerous escalation would be Iran sending missiles and rockets. Iran has to know that their Shaheed drones would not be effective. Correct me if I'm wrong but those drones probably cost around $20,000 each, and it costs $4,000,000 per patriot missile to shoot them down. But luckily for Israel they are funded by Western tax payers so they could care less about costs.
