This wonderful world of online dating where it's perfectly acceptable for a woman to require a minimum height but it's outrageous for a man to require a maximum weight.
200 pound limit. No face only pics, just cause your face is under 200 pounds, that does not count!
My joke was that the fat girls put close up face pics on dating profiles. Joke is their face weighs 200 lbs. Women judge men harshly on weight, because they judge themselves harshly too. But the BS being spewed by media is that men should tolerate any sized woman, when obesity is a turn off. Media should be telling woman to be healthy. Thick is okay, just not gross! Body fat above 30% is bad looking and unhealthy on woman. Sadly on Men body fat over 20% is not good looking because men carry less body fat as men do not need reserves to have babies aka estrogen.

Nobody can change your preference. People can only try. So that's a non-problem. If you don't like fat women, don't date them. Just don't be outspoken about how fat they are either.

1. Unrealistic expectations. (Women expect to date only 9/10 and 10/10 men. By contrast, men will settle for just about anything.)
2. No flexibility. (Women will not change their lifestyle to let a man in. They expect a man to change his life to fit into hers.)
3. Money money money. (Women absolutely refuse to date men who earn less than they do.)
4. Height fetish. (Women refuse to date men who are shorter or even the same height they are.)
5. No initiative. (Women never make a move. They are far too passive and silent. To a man, the lack of initiative is a sign of disinterest.)
All of this is too true. God forbid a man isn't 5'9+! It's so fucking retarded! I'm like 5'2 and there is nothing I can do about it. Furthermore, girls just don't take the initiative. It's always up to us.

A woman knows how to insinuate herself into a man's heart, so as to induce him to have the 'initiative' of asking her to dater her. I have a sister (& never understood a single thing about her approach to dating), and she would lose the dating game all the time because she would lie about being ten years younger than she really was because she knew she could get away with it. Then, when eventually busted on it, she would get upset that the guys she was dating didn't want to proceed with a relationship because she hadn't be honest. Then she'd moan to me about what terrible luck she had with guys. wtf.

Well that might be but alot of men just dont want to play that game so they dont.
The biological need and longing for children and a stable family is much more prevalent in women compared to men.
I have spoken to a couple of women who were quite desperate because their clock is running out. They dont want (with good reason) children past 35 but they cannot find a man who wants to marry and want kids.
Men are at such a disadvantage law-wise in alot of countries and dont see that they get their fair part out of it that they just do not take the risk.
In alot of western countries the chances are quite high that you have to pay for the children and the woman even if she leaves you and they are not even your kids.
Most of the time if it goes to court men get no rights to see the children.
In alot of US sates if a underage boy (maybe of 14-15 years) has sex wth an older woman, lets say 30 years old, he is liable for child support even if it was statutory rape.
There was this unbelievable case of a man in the US who was jailed for a crime he didnt commit. He was released after 25 years and got a big compensation from the state.
During his jail-time his wive divorced him and after he was set free she sued for the money he got for compensation. In every normal thinking society this would be outrageous but he had to fight for years in the courts because the laws so much favour the women.

It does make men happier in general though. Men have more to loose on not having a long term relationship then women do according to statistics based on happiness and not finances. When it comes to what matters it doesn't really help us that much to have more money. The best way to reach happiness is to have a few stronger relationships with other people.

All throughout their younger years, women want the jock. Then, when they get older, they want the guy that went to college. As a man, being college educated doesn't benefit you (dating wise) until you're 30+ so it's no wonder why more men don't choose to focus on that.
As a man who went to university and is now earning quite well, I can't really say I'd strongly consider a woman in her 30s. If she's single at that age, she's likely overlooked guys like me her whole life. But now that her looks are starting to fade, she's decided they I'm datable. I'd much rather pick up a younger woman and I have plenty of time to wait for the right one.
Girls at any age will shame a man for being single and unattached. But later on when they want a guy, seems like all the guys are taken, how interesting right!
That's really not always the way. I had three longish relationships in my twenties/early thirties didn't date much in between as I was trying to get over the last one and now have all three guys popping up every so often (even though two are now married) . It really works both ways. And no, they weren't 'chads' or 'alphas' just normal guys who later said they were too young/immature/unable to communicate. I couldn't give a damn about my career and I'm now 36 and staring cat lady status in the face. I'm told I'm attractive by male acquaintances/friends but absolutely terrified to get involved with anybody again.

Could it possibly be that no one here was talking about YOUR personal experiences but the GENERAL attitude of women toward men? Try being the guy who was always "like a brother", listening to women complain about how terrible their men treated them, and yet always going after the same type of men, i.e. the "jock", the "rich" boy or the "bad boy". Then suddenly, ten years later, when they finally pull their heads out of their asses and realize that the good guy is marriage material, they realize that he is already married because a decent woman, who doesn't only think about HER wants and needs, snatched him up while the other women were playing let's make a deal. Now of course I realize that this is simply MY personal experience and therefor wouldn't presume that EVERY situation is like this. Perhaps you should do the same. I realize this might not make much sense to you, because it is quite apparent that you can only look at the world from YOU'RE PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, but I have seen this happen quite often. My point being that not every woman is like you. Not every man is the same, and you really shouldn't try to compare your experience to the whole of humanity.

I remember back in college, the hottest girl in my year was pretty picky who she would go out with. I never asked her out, we just acknowledged each other in campus, otherwise no interaction.

Lou, they pool all assets and put on a percentage. I lost close to 70% and only married for three years. She got me on the 5 years we dated prior to the marriage. To throw salt into the wound she got 70% of the value of my two motorbikes which were bought after we divorced and hadn't settled. Ended up parting with $750K in 2005 dollars. I am now blissfully a born again bachelor with quite a few female friends ;) And child support finishes in 2 years... happy days. Edit... I should add she contributed sweet FA and enjoyed an amazing standard of living for a school teacher. I also haven't seen my daughter for nearly 7 years and spent $380K in the Family court. Marriage is for losers (certainly in the case of men).

Why, the majority of the country is vast and of those vast connections are fixed wireless with only fiber internet going into major capital cities and some rural cities and towns.

I worked on remote area mine sites for 6.5 years during the Australian Mining Boom, (which ended in May 2012). During that time, I worked on 1,000 to 4,000 man camps. Each night I would have dinner in the canteen. On the other side of the table would typically be a man who I had never met and would never meet again. These men told me their family stories. I have been married for 39 years to the woman who I still passionately love. However, 90 something percent of the men on these camps where divorced. Their wives found it profitable to trash these men. Then, I would return to Sydney on R&R and hear divorced women tell me that their ex-husband mistreated them. To this I would think; "I do not believe you woman. I have met your ex-husband and I have heard his story. You traded him in for profit."
Women today do not value marriage or their men. They have been taught that they "can have it all". Well, yes they can, if they marry for life in their early 20's, have their children early, be a good wife and mother, support their husband in his career throughout their marriage and return to work when their children are in school. Other plans do not work.
We need to have disdain for those who fail at their marriage. It is a shameful thing. Such people have failed in their most important commitment. It damages their loved one very much.
We need to let the women who leave their child bearing too late to be examples to all women of the stupidity of playing around during their 20's (and even more). When will women realize that having children late greatly diminished the number of children who they can have and the health of those children. A good parent wants many children. My greatest regret is that my wife and I were able to have only 3 children.
My advice for a long marriage is: Men, you are the man. You be the husband. Women, you are the woman. You be the wife.

I'm glad she brought up something that I've noticed and been telling people for a long time: in general, women over-estimate their sexual market value. I have no real problems with hypergamy; I think it's reasonable for a woman to want the best mate she can possibly get with her SMV. However, when her impression of her own value is greatly over-inflated and leaves her incapable of accurately gauging her actual value in the sexual marketplace, THAT is a problem. Entropiated Good point. Women are grading themselves like they would grade a man. They believe education and career success get them points towards attractiveness, but they have sadly been misled. The sooner females ask, "How do males rate me?" The sooner they will discover they are not a 8.5 out of 10, but more like a 6.5 or 7. What you have mentioned is such an accurate statement, you could also blame this on social media platforms, be it Instagram, tinder, facebook etc... where you have thirsty as fuck men boosting women's SMV for the cause of thinking they may get their dick wet if they say nice things and make the women feel good about herself. This then gives the women an impression that she is more attractive than she actually is.

SMV is different than MMV. See Marriage Market Value MMV while a part comes from SMV, it takes into account more long term attributes like personality, family, values, etc. Nearly any girl can get laid, a 5 SMV girl can easily get an 8 SMV guy to nail her, but he will never commit or might not even call her back. Not forgetting that women look very carefully at what any potential male suitor "brings to the table", they don't give too much consideration to what they are actually bringing to the table, often thinking that all they need to bring is themselves.
This is very true, women don't want to think about what they do/do not bring to the table in a relationship. We're a very narcissistic group on the whole. Obviously, there are some exceptions, but overall, we're pretty blind to ourselves. Most women don't have the capacity to be honest with themselves and to really look at what they're offering.
Myself, for example, I'm unemployed (looking for employment), suffer from a few medical issues that mean I'm a liability at almost any work places, I'm overweight, short (5foot) lass with a fair bit of mental baggage from past experiences and the only thing I could really offer anyone is my affection, love and support and lets be honest, that's not much.
I'm really lucky, I've managed to find a really great guy that is way out of my league in truth and I was absolutely floored when he told me his feeling for me (I was pretty sure he wouldn't be attracted to someone like me), but I know that I'm one of the really lucky ones.
Don't be too hard on yourself, I work in a predominantly female field, earning above the average wage in my country and, of course, the women in my department earn exactly the same wage that I do (quite rightly).
But when looking for boyfriends they expect any bloke to already own a house, and earn more money than them.
When I ask them what they are expected to supply they typically stare at me blankly. Some of them even ridicule men who still live with their parents, whilst they still live with their parents.
The level of double think and dissociation astounds me (in fairness to them, they (now) freely admit they are spoilt and entitled).
I'm increasingly of the opinion though that if, as a species, men started to think and act more like women, we would probably become extinct!

In truth I've taken a lot of their friends out as favours.. to them ( made it clear I'm a Batchelor till death). A certain look or smile from the hubby or BF usually tells me if I've been suckered into something. If I'm overtly mean, subtly sarcastic or looking to have a dig, it's usually a purposeful action my part. I'm rarely unintentionally rude. Zoo, hiking and bike rides also make the list depending on the situation. All these activities make it difficult for them to be inactive and overly groomed.

Look, even in the 1980s it was widely discussed that a degree educated woman who was single at the age of 30 had a very small chance of getting married and having a family. They did studies on it. I think people are missing something important here. Educated men are perfectly comfortable pairing off with less educated women. It isn't that the men have paired off before they hit 30, it's just that they aren't saying that only educated women are acceptable. We don't need to be equal or greater in social power dynamic to our partners.
I find it really fascinating that society has told me my entire life, that as a man, I'm more shallow, superficial, and less caring than women. I keep see statistics that are showing the contrary. For example, with online dating 80% of men are rated as average, to below average in appearance (leaving only 20% as desirable) whereas women are rated by men as more equally distributed. Women requiring education as a prerequisite doesn't equate to tangible differences in prospective partners.
I'm content as an educated man to remain single. I would like to find intelligent (educated doesn't mean intelligent by any stretch of definition), sensible woman where there is mutual attraction. That sensible part literally is the largest barrier. "Educated women" these days (in terms of impact towards in a relationship) is more like signing up for women who align with a political ideology, instead of reality.
People are always looking to find sources of their dissatisfaction as something external to themselves. It's easier to complain that something else is the problem, instead of changing ourselves. The irony and catch 22 here, is that I feel like it's unlikely for me to find a compatible partner because of the unrealistic and uncompromising expectations of me, and I feel that it's making me bitter and unlikely to change.

I have a story that is really related. My ex got with me saying if her seizures ever stopped she would start working. She told me she wanted to work and I was disabled. A time came when they stopped for a full 5 months. a full 5 months and she at the start of that 5 months she threw a chef's knife at my face. I think she knew after that it did not matter I was throwing her out. I spent 5 months fighting for her to leave because the cops would not remove her. I payed the bills, I had the disability that qualified me for the housing. I was the weaker of the 2 and abused often. She would yell at me to cook every day, to clean everything, and I was told I had to work now that she was not sick as I was getting sicker. I nearly just took her keys one day and spartan kicked her out. No joke. I called the cops all the time for help but they blamed me.
I am autistic and sick. How can I be expected to provide after I entered the relationship when she said she wanted to work? I am far too sock to work.

seuratguy It’s a common Skype problem which is not related to headsets. I always use headsets and I get that annoying echo regularly but only from other continents.

In theory, feminism is actually not against that idea. It wants to free both men and women from the traditional roles and hence let people choose this on their own. But then women in general are looking for a man that is more stable, and that's not feminism who is pushing that. But this creates the effect of ideas and reality not connecting.

I can vouch for the fact Women have FAR overestimated their worth. I'm 36, 7% bodyfat, six figure income and an 8 in appearance according to friends. Whatever women have, they want more. Add to this that women reserve the right to change their mind at any moment, which means you cannot ever trust anything she says because it will be different tomorrow. No one can build a marriage or long term reletionship on that for long. The solution I've found is to have a compartmentalized life and get the various things you want out of life from different places. There's no need for a long term monogamous relationship.
