- In this video, Im reviewing my Ibanez guitar after a year and half use. This is one of my favorite guitars and I'm in love with the neck quality. I'm using guitar rig 5 pro plugin here. It is not a sponsored video. These are my personal opinion. Let me know what you guys think and if you have Ibanez AZ how do you like it?
I switched from strats to AZ's...the neck is way better than any strat I've ever owned...and so is the sustain...and trem, and tones...
I just ordered my AZ2402 today! So excited. Very nice video!
GeeFK Congratulations dude! How exciting. Enjoy and have fun🤘😊
What color did you go for?
Well, how is it?????????
@Ace King I mean it could be possible but at the end of the day it’s a floating bridge so... your best staying in standard
I've heard tuning issues, but I've heard from people who stretch their strings don't have the issues. I'm getting mine tomorrow in flat black. Ready for it to get here
thank you for reviewing this guitar, very helpful
Thank you Ali. Appreciate your feedback!
Great playing sir, please share the awesome track
I solved the tuning problem for the 90% on my 2402 by replacing both the saddles and the string tree with Graph Tech replacements. Now the guitar is *almost* always in tune.
Damn man. Great tip. Thanks 🙌
Amazing tone and play!
I agree...i love her ♥️
Great vid! Is the thickness on the neck like an RG or is it thinner/thicker?
Hi Aero, it's definitely thicker than RG necks. It's even thicker then fender C shape neck. Thank you.
Anish Ghimire alright thank you. I might have to go to a guitar store when it opens and see if there is any. Much appreciated
I have the same guitar. It's awesome. great playing.
Aaron A Thank you so much 😊
I love the neck too🤟😊
If I use the whammy frequently, will the tunning issue be so terrible ?
I really want an AZ2402 prestige, but if the whammy can lead to wrong tunning , the AZ PRESTIGE might not be a successful product
What style is that at 5:37 it was fancy playing
Hi Zyphix, it’s kind of like rhythm and blues.
Hey man, great stuff!
I have an Ibanez az2402 TFF myself, and I love it.
However, I have been noticing that the roasted maple in the neck is kind of soft-ish.
I discovered this when I started playing with my thumb behind the neck (instead of wrapped around the neck) that the nail of my thumb on my fretting hand could make indents (or 'lines' rather) in the neck, even when really (!) softly moved across the back of the neck, which is a movement that is kind of unavoidable when playing in a somewhat more excited fasion.
Have you found that your maple neck also damages or dents easily in general, and if so, do you know how or if I can avoid further damage (apart from being extra carefull obviously haha)?
To my recollection the maple neck was slightly 'harder' when i first bought the guitar, but this could be my imagination.
I’ve theorized a little bit myself, and maybe it has something to do with the roasted maple sucking up moisture, and thereby getting softer, but this did not seem logical to me, because the neck has only been played inside and Ibanez seems to be really proud of their 'humidity defying' necks.
Thanks in advance!
All the best.
🙂
p.s. since yesterday i started putting silicon packets in the hardcase, to see if that solved anything, but obviously i haven't seen any results from that yet haha
Can it play metal
What size is your string gauge? Is 09-42 do fine with this guitar?
Hi Joshua, mine is 10-46. Im pretty sure 9-42 would be fine. Thanks!
@@Atmusic148 i see. do you have any sustain issue on 12th fret of G string?
I haven’t noticed any sustain issues my friend.
What amp do you recommend for this guitar?
Hi Borna! I just used guitar rig 5 on this video. I think you can use any amp that has decent tone as long as it sounds good. Doesn’t have to be a particular amp. Thanks.
I use Boss Katana's with mine...perfect match for me...👍🎸
Tuners seems to me as usual not locking
Hi Ivan they are gotoh locking tuners. It’s different then regular locking tuners. Instead, you simply thread the string through the tuning peg, then tune up the guitar as you would normally. With enough turns, the pin will lock into place by itself.
@@Atmusic148 hah, interesting. Thanks!
@@Atmusic148 if i were to drop tune, will the pin go out and we need to manually screw it in so it tightens itself?
